‘Mrs. Greene's statement about leaving the Church is as enlightening as it is saddening,’ commented Michael Hichborn, president of the Lepanto Institute.
(LifeSiteNews) – Following criticism of comments she made about the U.S. Catholic bishops, conservative firebrand U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed that she was raised Catholic but left the Church “with great sorrow” when she had kids because she had concerns about the left-wing hierarchy protecting abusive priests.
“With great sorrow, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, I stopped attending Catholic Mass when I became a mother, because I realized that I could not trust the Church’s leadership to protect my children from pedophiles, and that they harbored monsters even in their own ranks,” the now-evangelical said in a lengthy statement.
The Georgia Republican was responding to the Catholic League’s Bill Donahue, who slammed her for suggesting in an interview with Church Militant’s Michael Voris that “Satan is controlling the Church.”
“The Church is not doing its job. And it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ,” she added.
“It’s the Church leadership I was referring to when I invoked the Devil,” Greene clarified on Twitter. “Just so we’re clear, bishops, when I said ‘controlled by Satan,’ I wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church. I was talking about you.”
“The Catholic Church must throw out these monsters instead of lecturing the people its own bishops have driven away,” she continued, blasting the U.S. Catholic bishops as “some of the worst in the world” and “scheming bureaucrats in miters.” It was the “bishops’ wickedness” that drove her out of the Church, Greene said, and her own refusal to “submit the spiritual and physical livelihood of my children to these monsters.”
Greene, who is sometimes referred to as “MTG” (à la “AOC”), went on to say what many faithful Catholics who.......

——>The life of Adam is the source of sin.
The life of Christ doesn’t sin.
A poster wrote this:
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: AND HE CANNOT SIN, because he is born of God.
You may be tempted to argue with what this verse means, but the spirit says it means the spirit that is born of God cannot sin because God’s spirit remains within that born again spirit so that spirit cannot sin because GOD cannot sin. Your Bible tells you that the Word of God is powerful, able even to separate soul and spirit. Once the Word is believed the Word separates the spirit of the believer from the behavior mechanism of the believer and GOD abides in that separated spirit, forever.
I guess Ravi is off the hook. Maybe he’ll get an honorary seat next to the apostles?

My gosh, but Ravi lives in your head rent free!
He’s not posting here.
A depraved mind dwells upon the depraved acts of others when not doing same.
Ravi is the gift that keeps on giving.
Your obsession is getting disturbing. If I didn’t know better I’d say you’re crushing on him.
Why not? You let Ellen G. White off the hook even though she’s worse than Ravi ever was.
And unlike Ravi, Ellen G. Porksucker wrote the entire doctrine that your little cult lives by and obviously didn’t believe it herself.
So you, Phil, are following a fake prophetess who didn’t even believe her own teaching.
And you sit there and judge other people?
You’re pathetic.
Oh Phil.
MHGinTN quited directly from the Bible.
You on the other hand rejected Scripture outright.
I’m sure that God will LOVE to hear you rejected his Word.
If there’s any loser on this thread, it’s you. Both in arguing and in eternity.
——>MHGinTN quited directly from the Bible.
Quoting and understanding what’s being quoted are two totally different things.
——>If there’s any loser on this thread, it’s you. Both in arguing and in eternity.
If I were you, I wouldn’t bet my salvation on that, lawbreaker.
I’m SURE that you can tell us what it actually means without twisting it to mean the opposite of what it actually says then?
That was sarcasm, incidentally.
It’s pretty obvious what MHGinTN is saying. That the regenerated spirit of God within the believer cannot sin, but the old sinful self is still at war within the believer.
That’s what Scripture says too, so points for him there.
What do YOU say, Phil? That doesn’t so blatantly contradict the Word, that is?
Also, I still keep the Law better than you, so if I end up in Hell I’ll take comfort that I’m standing on your face for eternity, Sabbath-hater.
No idea what gibberish you are blathering about. It sounds like you are mentally unstable.
Are you?
Except when you overheat, you begin to blurt out “Ravi! Ravi!” Like a SADventist Rainman.
I suggest you follow Ellen more closely and do your nightly cooling barrel.
Of course I keep the Law better than you do.
You don’t even know what the Law is.
Considering how many times that we’ve quoted Scripture and you’ve mocked that Scripture quotation, it’s very obvious that you either A: don’t know the Word of God, or B: Hate the Word of God.
So naturally I obey the Law better than you do.
Even Ravi obeyed the Law better than you do.
Even if the accusations of his behavior are true, at least he knew what Scripture says, unlike you.
You? You willfully avoid learning the Word of God even on the day that God set aside for you to learn the Word.
Instead of devoting that day to studying you talk about poop on the Internet.
Why do you hate the Sabbath so much, Phil?
Funny thing; I’ll note that I gave Phil a chance to explain what Scripture REALLY means with the sole caveat that he not try to say that it means the opposite of what it says.
Instead he started insulting me.
Yep, he’s a REALLY smart boy there, our Phil, Luircin said sarcastically.
It really is the best way to disprove false religions by making them live up to their own rules.
Like SDAs and their cooling barrels.
Or a certain not-really-a-Catholic upthread and his judgement on my soul against his own religion and his refusal to repent of it. He better hope Catholicism is wrong, because he stands self-condemned to eternal damnation if that’s the case.
You’re a joke.
I’m glad I live rent-free in your mind.
