Marjorie Taylor Greene: I Was Raised Catholic, but Wicked Bishops Have ‘Driven Me Away’ from the Church

‘Mrs. Greene's statement about leaving the Church is as enlightening as it is saddening,’ commented Michael Hichborn, president of the Lepanto Institute.

(LifeSiteNews) – Following criticism of comments she made about the U.S. Catholic bishops, conservative firebrand U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed that she was raised Catholic but left the Church “with great sorrow” when she had kids because she had concerns about the left-wing hierarchy protecting abusive priests.

“With great sorrow, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, I stopped attending Catholic Mass when I became a mother, because I realized that I could not trust the Church’s leadership to protect my children from pedophiles, and that they harbored monsters even in their own ranks,” the now-evangelical said in a lengthy statement.

The Georgia Republican was responding to the Catholic League’s Bill Donahue, who slammed her for suggesting in an interview with Church Militant’s Michael Voris that “Satan is controlling the Church.”

“The Church is not doing its job. And it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ,” she added.

“It’s the Church leadership I was referring to when I invoked the Devil,” Greene clarified on Twitter. “Just so we’re clear, bishops, when I said ‘controlled by Satan,’ I wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church. I was talking about you.”

“The Catholic Church must throw out these monsters instead of lecturing the people its own bishops have driven away,” she continued, blasting the U.S. Catholic bishops as “some of the worst in the world” and “scheming bureaucrats in miters.” It was the “bishops’ wickedness” that drove her out of the Church, Greene said, and her own refusal to “submit the spiritual and physical livelihood of my children to these monsters.”

Greene, who is sometimes referred to as “MTG” (à la “AOC”), went on to say what many faithful Catholics who.......

They believe that Satan bore our sins, not our Beloved.

Utter blasphemy. Utter blasphemy. Did EGW dream up that cockamamie scam?

The cultist also said I condemn him to hell daily. Such an antichrist style response exposes clearly the cultist does not know the Grace of God in Christ. It is not possible for me to condemn the cultist to hell because his own rejection of God's Grace has the cultist condemned already. By rejecting the plan of salvation, to by faith alone trust in Christ alone not on any works the cultist has rejected the Holy Spirit Presence for the cultist's spirit.

The Word tells us clearly that int he last days scoffers will come. The spirit of antichrist is strong in the cultist. Sadly, his rejection of Christ alone by faith alone has the cultists already condemned, and the cultist scoffs at our efforts to show it how idiotic is the cult to which the cultist has hitched his dead soul.

The cultist, by claiming the cultist can earn Heaven by striving at keeping the law, the cultist has chosen works over Grace; Condemning himself.

You poor thing, Phil. You just can’t get those passages correct no matter how much you try.

Why not try reading it in such a way that every single word counts?

People have tried to tell you over and over again, but you want so bad for God to hate us and condemn us to hell that it blinds you to truth. You’re viewing God’s precious word through rage.

Ah, but your Prophetess Ellen said outright that she could not understand scripture unless she went into a trance/vision. You’re following someone who didn’t have the Holy Spirit to enlighten her to understand scripture.

YOU should fear for your very soul.

Why do you hate Jesus so much, Phil?

All I have to do is make reference to the fact that God the Son proves your dietary vanity wrong and you have a 2 day long meltdown, or a Philtdown as I still call it.

It’s amazing that you hate Jesus so much that you belong to a church that believes that the devil is the one that made atonement for us.

Your church (and ny wxtenaion, you) literally believes that Satan is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

Why should I believe anything you have to say?

Which, I might add, is why the cultists—whether Catholic or SDA—freak out so badly when I say that I’m more obedient than they are.

It’s true because I have the Holy Spirit and they don’t, but it’s also a direct attack on their self-worth. When the “lawless” and “heretics” say with complete confidence that they’re better than them at the obedience that they’ve put all their trust in, it breaks their little minds.

It’s sad that they don’t ever see that if they hate such a statement so much, perhaps they shouldn’t come onto threads boasting about themselves and insulting everyone else.

I have a bottle of Sriracha in my fridge that is at least five years old. Too much after taste.

I wouldn’t brag about my superiority to a fellow believer because such a thing would wound their faith and mine.

But the cultists have no faith, only vanity. And truth wounds vanity.

The MOST blasphemous thing I’ve heard or read from this cult. I caught it on a video you linked yesterday of three whom God led out of the cult:

Minute marker: 9:00 to 9:25

It’s from the first speaker who quotes it from “The Great Controversy,” p. 422.

Took a bit, but here is what the dear lady is quoting:

The Great Controversy, Ellen G. White, p. 422

It was seen, also, that while the sin-offering pointed to Christ as a sacrifice, and the high priest represented Christ as a mediator, the scapegoat typified Satan, the author of sin, upon whom the sins of the truly penitent will finally be placed. When the high priest, by virtue of the blood of the sin-offering, removed the sins from the sanctuary, he placed them upon the scapegoat. When Christ, by virtue of His own blood, removes the sins of His people from the heavenly sanctuary at the close of His ministration, He will place them upon Satan, who, in the execution of the judgment, must bear the final penalty.

GAG.

Scripture itself says that the atoning sacrifice must be unblemished.

Giving Christ’s holiness to the devil? Might as well call them devil-worshippers.

Yeah. In the end it’s Satan who bears the penalty of our sin rather than Our Great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.

Which, if thought about for even a second, makes a person ask why Jesus was put through living hell and died on the cross in the first place.

It makes an absolute monster of God.

It’s terribly blasphemous.
