It is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for the perfect. With not a shred of Scriptural support for that portrayal.
Ephesians 4:11-14 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,…..
It’s not for sinners, it’s for saints to equip them for the work of the ministry, not to assign it to a separate clerical class who does it all.

Tablets are tough that way. If your finger slides just a little bit, you end up with letters and symbols you had no intention of typing.

Do you ever wonder what things would be like today... if your wish for the Church to never have existed would have been granted? What the state of Christianity would be in today, if it even still existed? Do you not at all see the irony of your line of questioning?
Catholicism has been divided since about 1,000 AD when the EO and Rome parted ways.
Homosexuality has been an ongoing problem within Catholicism for easily 1,000 years. Check out St. Peter Damian and his Book of Gomorrah.
The last several decades has seen the exposure of the depths of pedophilia and sexual exploitation of children world wide within the Catholic ranks.
Even recently, the Vatican has hosted cocaine fueled homosexual orgies.
You all have a flaming Marxist as your pope, who got installed into office by your College of Cardinals, which reveals them to be just as bad.
And then you have the chutzpah to question where Christianity would be without Catholicism as if Catholicism has been any kind of example of what a church should be?
The Crusades aside, without Catholicism, likely Christianity would be in a far better place than it is right now.

You are correct.
The sad truth is that the thought of one being in a Harlot church never even enters their minds.
The Mother church is built on paganism and idolatry.
To: delchiante
Revelation 14:12 ...’Here is the patience of the saints, here are they (GOD’S TRUE CHURCH) that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.’
“God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. ‘Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them’. Where Christ is, even among the humble few, this is Christ’s church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church.” (Manuscript Releases, Volume 17, pgr.81)
To: Texas_Guy
The true church is wherever believers gather in his.name and worship him.
Read a Bible.

I’m sure these people would agree with you, but they won’t be in heaven, for one simple reason.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
To: Campion; Old Yeller
So when Jesus prayed in John 17:21 that his disciples' followers "be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you", was he preaching "one world religion" and "apostasy" too? It's surreal to me how you guys make division, which is clearly contrary to the explicit will of Christ, into some sort of virtue and mark of orthodoxy. And you guys (Roman Catholics) aren't sowing division by willy-nilly tossing out the APOSTASY label at anyone who disagrees that Catholicism is the "one, true, church"?
Old Yeller is referring to the end-times one world religion that the False Prophet directs all to bow down and worship the Antichrist. The direct opposite of the unity Christ prayed for.
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.” (Revelation 13:11-13, KJV).
This second beast is given powers just like the beast that precedes him – the Antichrist – and his primary purpose is to lead all to worship that first beast. He is able to perform great wonders, even causing the idol, or image of the first beast that will be created, to speak.
“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” (Revelation 13:15, KJV).
It is he, the False Prophet, who brings about and forces upon all mankind the infamous “mark of the beast.”
“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Revelation 13:16-18, KJV).
It's no secret that Pope Francis is driving the move towards this becoming a reality:
The headline on the Vatican News reads, “Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi to open in 2022,” and the opening sentence proclaims this as, “The cultural landmark in the UAE capital, which includes a synagogue, a church and a mosque, is meant to be a beacon of understanding and peaceful coexistence, inspired by the Document on Human Fraternity.” This “beacon of understanding and peaceful coexistence” has been brought about largely through the joint efforts of Pope Francis and a Sunni Muslim, Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayeb of al-Azhar, who also co-authored the “Document on Human Fraternity” on February 4, 2019. https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/travels/2019/outside/documents/papa-francesco_20190204_documento-fratellanza-umana.html

To its credit, Catholicism has been a stalwart defender of the unborn, but otherwise they have done nothing to stem the rot. IDK...you'd think a "stalwart defender of the unborn" wouldn't just stand by as internationally known and self-professed "faithful" Catholics support and enact the most liberal pro-abortion laws in the entire world.

And judging by the number of practicing Catholics who vote for leftists, clearly the Catholic “church”has abdicated it responsibility .

Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them,
This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:28-40)

Christianity would be in a far better place than it is right now.
Really...so what would kind of Christian would you be then? A follower of those crazy Corinthians? Or a Galatian?
Maybe a Gnostic? A Montanist?
A follower of Arian?
would you be a Works saving Pelagian? Or Nestorian?
Sadly, you could not be a DIY Protestant, because without Rome... there is no 16th century Re(De)formation... So what kind of "christian" would you be? Just the same, I would bet...lol
But ahh yes...
Who can forget those Cocaine fueled sex orgies and nambla sleepover romps in the Vatican...
That's! where Charles Martel and Charlemagne got all that energy from...!
For you objectivity goes out the window, and lacking historical understanding, even such a simple hypothetical is beyond comprehension for you.
Its similar to trying to get an Atheist to objectively reason to see what a western society would be like for them to live in - without the foundation of Christian values.
They answer, "Well it would be just the same, but without God and Churches. It would be alot better, and more peaceful".
Yeah sure..., it would be just the same, or better...lol

Here is the patience of the SAINTS: here are they that keep the COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, and the FAITH OF JESUS. Rev 14:12
To: boatbums
Coffman’s Commentaries on the Bible
Here is the patience of the saints, they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Here is the patience of the saints ... Charles failed to see the point of this verse, but Beasley-Murray wrote, “It is thoroughly in place here. It is the punch line for Revelation 14:9-11. If such be the fate of the followers of the beast, Christ’s people must, at all costs, continue to keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”[56]
Keep the commandments of God ... The current fantasy that “believers” are in some way saved without obedience should be reviewed in light of many such passages as this. Any “system” of salvation that promises people eternal life upon any other premise than that of fidelity to God’s commandments is false and should be identified with the second beast. Yes indeed; they must believe in Christ with all their hearts, but that is not all that is required. They must also:
Keep ... the faith of Jesus ... As Ladd said, “This faith is objective?[57] It means keep the religion of Christ; accept and obey the tenets of true Christianity.

St. Paul through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit:
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. (Romans 3:19-28)
