Speaking at his annual press-conference marathon, held December 23, 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin focused on traditional values, among other things.
A journalist’s question was about the President’s attitude to the modernist ethical values spreading over Western countries, involving gender identity and family issues. He also asked the President how big the chances are that these new fads would come to Russia. “The modernist ethics, like an infection, like the new virus, is bound to come to Russia,” Vladimir Putin observed. “What we can do is to use an antidote that would work.”
“As for me, I am an adherent of a traditional approach: a woman is a woman, and a man is a man. A mother is a mother, and a father is a father,” the Russian President said. “I hope that our society has a strong inner moral protection, rooted in the traditional religions which are in the Russian Federation. A special point, and a strength, of the thousand-year-old Russian society, is that over many centuries Russia has emerged as a multi-faith and multinational state. We have learned to treat each other with respect, including the respect for our basic traditional values.”

Since 1990, the FSB’s people have been placed into every position (more opening up all the time) that permits appointment in the Russian government. Putin himself stated that the FSB is now “back in control of Russia, forever.” The government IS the FSB. And the FSB is the direct successor, manned with the same people, who were in the KGB, housed in the same building that the KGB, NKVD, VsKGB, has always ruled from: the Lubyanka, where people are still taken, tortured, and murdered.
This is essentially the same thing as the Gestapo suddenly operating all of Germany post-war, except that the KGB/FSB/NKVD/etc., are responsible for the deaths of millions more people and the subversion of nation after nation.
So total is the FSB’s control over Russia that even the Russian Orthodox Church is operated by an FSB agent, Archbishop Kirill, who has a KGB codename and who was tasked with spreading Marxist Liberation Theology through the world council of churches as late as 2009 just prior to his promotion to run all or orthodoxy.
Not that that’s a big deal since only 7% of Russians even go to church once a month! Religion in Russia is as fake as its priests.
This BS Putin is putting forth—even though he has PROMOTED people who have spread this shit in western countries—is aimed at the gullible right wing in all countries desperately searching for support.

... Why? It is the direct successor. It even operates out of the same building as the NKVD and the later KGB: the Lubyanka.
Yes, there are a great deal of name changes and reorganizations throughout soviet history. The KGB was officially formed in 1953 out of the MVD, which in turn had once been split between the MVD (ministry of internal affairs) and the MGB into the MVD, which in turn had been the MGKB, and before that the NKVD, and on and on and on back to the VChK. In 1991, Yeltin, the then head of the KGB started the process again with new organizations eventually leading to the FSB.
Again, it is the same organization, all operated out of the Lubyanka. Putin had been a Colonel in the KGB. His comrades were in the KGB and are now part of the FSB, and the FSB in turn now possesses a super majority of government posts in the Russian government.

I've got plenty of other books on the subject of the KGB ranging from I Led Three Lives (discussing communist infiltration in the USA by the KGB), to Golitsyn or Suvorov, to books like the above.
