The Salvation Army has withdrawn its controversial "Let's Talk About Racism" guide following criticism and donor backlash over the text that asked white supporters of the charity group to deliver "sincere" apologies for their race and the past sins of the Church.
The holidays are a welcome reminder of the things we are grateful for—and for the power of service on behalf of those who are less fortunate. The Salvation Army mission statement clearly outlines the nature of our service: to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. The beliefs that motivate our service are based solely on the Bible, and that will never change.
But although we remain committed to serving everyone in need—regardless of their beliefs, backgrounds, or lifestyle—some individuals and groups have recently attempted to mislabel our organization to serve their own agendas. They have claimed that we believe our donors should apologize for their skin color, that The Salvation Army believes America is an inherently racist society, and that we have abandoned our Christian faith for one ideology or another.
Those claims are simply false, and they distort the very goal of our work.
The truth is that The Salvation Army believes that racism is fundamentally incompatible with Christianity, and that we are called by God to work toward a world where all people are loved, accepted, and valued. Our positional statement on racism makes this clear. These beliefs and goals are critically important because we know that racism exists, and we are determined to do everything the Bible asks of us to overcome it.
The Salvation Army occasionally publishes internal study guides on various complex topics to help foster positive conversations and grace-filled reflection among Salvationists. By openly discussing these issues, we always hope to encourage the.......

I daresay I have done a lot for people that would fall into the category of charity. I learned a long time ago, though, that charity money to an organization is diluted charity, often times your dollar is worth only ten cents when it is distributed in food and services. My charity is directly to the folks I meet who need it. A paid water bill or getting electricity turned back on does not also have to support managers and staff.
Too late, nothing in the pot for you.
I apologize for the Human Race !
Too bad. They’ve help a lot of drunks and addicts get sober.
Waiting for SA to formally state that they disagree with CRT and the notion that anyone should have to apologize for their race.
They won’t.

If the Board of Directors knew about this screed before it came out (my guess), they are toast, period.
If the Board of Directors didn’t know the statement was coming out, they are toast for insufficient oversight and can’t be trusted with money.
Toast to toast
Dust to dust
Silly dumbbells
Just went bust
Too late jerks—you’ve already shown your true colors. And then to show what two faced liars you really are, you try and backtrack. People were not fooled. I’m sure you have lost countless donations.
Hypocrisy
Day late and a dollar short. If they don’t get off this “social justice” kick, the Salvation Army will follow Judas (see Mark 14), not Jesus, on the road to hell.
All over the world, there were individuals who thought and felt as you do.
They were great people who thought living in freedom, forward thinking people who were a cut above the masses...like you... was the only way to live. Since there was a paucity of that freedom, they, as individuals, as families, as groups saw what was happening and decided to:
COME TO AMERICA, MY ANCESTORS AMONG THEM.
THAT is the miracle of America and that is what we must fight for now with so many obstacles, yet not insurmountable.
PS. That is the “Exceptionalism of America” that many do not understand.
M.C.
I stand with you
There’s local animal shelter that can use my donation. SJWs can eff right off.
The fact that they felt the need for an international social justice (whatkindabullcrapisthat?) department is a huge tell , in and of itself.
Hiding the offensive screed out of public view changes nothing.
I hold my check, still.
Boy, this is going to be an interesting clarification.
Isn’t sheet music another one of those constructs too?
How will the brass band cultists survive this ordeal?
Blowing/emitting bubbles in the bathtub is all they have
left for a holy note? In unison now, proceed.
When a person starts to think about where he can relocate his family to then you know it’s all over but for the shouting. What country can offer what we desire and welcome us with open arms? The New Immigrants.
Thanks for providing this quote:
“We must stop denying the existence of individual and systemic/institutional racism.”
Are all the abortion clinics that set up in black/minority neighborhoods examples of systemic/institutional racism? Are all the white abortionists participating in the extermination of approximately 600 preborn black children in the US everyday guilty of individual racism? Are all the white politicians, judges, and voters who help facilitate abortion nationally and internationally year after year guilty of individual, systemic and institutional racism? Is it racist to wound so many black/minority women psychologically and even physically with the sin of abortion resulting in generational dysfunction?
If a charity is Woke enough to admit its Wokeness in training/organizational documents, it is Woke enough to influence its giving (i.e., does it give to BLM and similar “charities”?).
