Fine. True. But leftists will get upset with the above reason and say, “Who says God gives a gender to each child?”
Better: We encourage dresses for girls and slacks for boys, because we prefer to honor the history of our school and incorporate rules from the past with our present rules. Each child can choose two of the six uniforms from our proud history.”
They could use better terminology. “Gender” always refers to words, never people.
“Sex” is the word they were looking for. Girls and Boys are different sexes. Never use leftist terminology.
I disagree with your suggestion that the school should alter their instructions to cater to secular viewpoints. It’s their job to teach Christian and Catholic values, even to the parents.
