10:1-4 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. | 3:13-18 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons. These are the twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter), James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”), Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. | 6:12-16 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles: Simon (whom he named Peter), his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot, Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor. |

You’re just jealous that it mentions swans and geese but not badgers.........
Jesus chooses his Apostles:
You, you, you, not you, you, nope, you, nah, definitely not, you, you, you, you, you and absolutely you. And of course you, Judas, can sit right here next to me!

Occupations of the 12 Disciples
QUESTION: What were the occupations of the 12 disciples?

I’m with you. I’ve never seen a Tiffany window that wasn’t glorious.
#13 & 14, Matthias and Paul the tentmaker, are omitted.
#10, Rane, I think that is the most 'commanding' and noble depiction of Jesus I think I've ever seen.
12? Yeah...seems that 12 has not a slight amount of significance!
Rev 12:1
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
Rev 21:12
And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
Rev 21:21
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
Rev 22:2
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
What a joy it is and will be to learn more about these things!
I am imagining the daunting task Jesus faced in leading this group of men, just one of many such tasks.
My expectation is it was no coincidence that Jacob fathered exactly twelve sons.
