Sharing implies that it is voluntary. Confiscation of goods is not sharing.

The Book of Acts describes what happened to the Christians in Jerusalem who tried “having everything in common.” They were always poor. William Bradford described the same result when the Pilgrims tried it. It didn’t work. They almost starved to death.
