The chairman of the Michigan GOP and member of the University of Michigan board of regents is being asked to resign after calling the top three elected women in the state witches.
An organization of Catholic sisters is also joining the calls for him to step down.
“Anger and frustration,” said Sister Jane Herb.
Herb, the president-elect of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, said she was not only disturbed by Michigan Republican Party chairman Ron Weiser comments toward Michigan’s top elected officials but also that they came from an elected leader.
“To know that the leader of the Republican Party and a regent for the University of Michigan make such terms feeds into the divisiveness within our country and state,” Herb said.
Weiser came under fire Friday after calling Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Attorney General Dana Nessel and Secretary of state Jocelyn Benson "witches" who should be ready for the burning at the stake.
He made the comment after jokingly referring to assassination as a way of dealing with two Michigan congressmen who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump after the January 6 insurrection on Capitol Hill.
His comment was intended to re-focus the party on defeating Whitmer, Nessel and Benson in 2022.

If the Sisters are OK work getting into politics...I’m OK with yanking their tax-free status.
Fieldmarshal responded to my posting asking an FR know anything about what and who this group is ? with this comment; Fake Christian leftist group with a rapidly declining membership made up mostly of old women and a outside FR link.
Anybody else got info about this phony Catholic Group ?
It’s clear that the source WNEM (Detroit ch 5 ?)is dredging the sewers to come up with garbage to throw at election reform because they’re afraid of this REVIEW THOSE GEORGIA SENATE ELECTION RESULTS
There were a series of fraudulent voting charges here. Were they enforced and corrected before this election took place ? If they weren’t is not a review called for ? They were created with the introduction of Covid 19 which Biden campaign thanks the CCP for doing; http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3940857/posts
If the Georgia Secretary of State is in charge of voting he has the responsibility of enforcing the state’s regulations as to who votes. And eliminate those from voter lists who don’t qualify.
Assign prosecutors to personally canvass and investigate. Check if military actually voted by asking them. Identify all voters by checking on legal age their residency and citizenship. If found they do not qualify charge Illegals including state visitors known as snowbirds also include any technical computer fraudulent Italian programming testimony when presenting to the court and get these election results tossed.
LINKED HERE ARE REASONS WHY THIS IS WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING 90% of the military votes went for Biden ?

LCWR is pro-abortion. They are a large organized group of Catholic sisters who advocate change in the Church including women priests and gay rights. They are affiliated with the lefty “nuns on the bus.”
Post #11 said it best:
These so called “sisters” who do not wear the habit need to stop pretending to be nuns
You will note the so-called “nuns” from “Nuns on a Bus” dress the same way. They may be “religious sisters” on paper, but we all know the “nuns” pimping Obamacare were actually SJW marxist activists who parade around as “nuns” in public because it sells well.
I raised similar objections to the so-called “Evangelical” megachurch “pastor” who went around dressed like a biker in public. People seem “shocked” the guy was living a double life and was a scam artist. I wasn’t shocked one bit.
What’s next, “Trappist Monks” who work as abortion doctors on their off days and dress like this?
