Your comment: “Why do you want to wait till you die, only to wake up in the flames šŸ”„ of hell? Sounds like a pretty rotten deal to me. If you want to play that game, with your immortal soul, knock yourself out. I am comfortable outside of that line of thinking. šŸ‘ I like having assurance of salvation, even if some think we canā€™t. I have it. If you donā€™t, thatā€™s on you bro.”

Christ and the Bible teach that we will receive our judgement by Jesus upon our death. The protestant view of this is incorrect and will lead many to perdition as Satan desires.

Your choice to reject the teachings of Jesus and assume that you will go to Heaven before your death.

Even St Paul says in 1st Corinthians 4:4 that heā€™s doesnā€™t have absolute assurance that heā€™s finally going to be saved because in 1st Corinthians 4:4 he says, ā€œIā€™m not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted.ā€ And then he goes on to say, ā€œItā€™s the Lord who judges.ā€ Heā€™s leaving that act of judgment to God. Heā€™s not aware of anything against himself, heā€™s not aware of mortal sin or anything like that, but heā€™s still not finally saved. He recognizes that. Whatā€™s the implication? Itā€™s possible he could goof up. Itā€™s possible he could lose his salvation.

Your comment: “I like having assurance of salvation, even if some think we canā€™t. I have it.” So is it a foolish belief that Satan has provided?

Sorry bro, but I believe that is a complete misinterpretation of the verse. Actually, I think EVERY verse you brought up, you misinterpreted. I donā€™t believe you got even one interpretation correct. Not even one. You may have gotten one or two correct, in other places, but certainly not in your post to me. By the way bro, why are you interpreting scripture anyway? I thought your chosen religion, required you to let a priest interpret the scriptures for you. Or, are you one of those, who doesnā€™t interpret scripture, you just read it, and tell me what it says? (Metmom) Is that what you think bro?
Anyway, I have assurance of salvation. Sorry if you donā€™t, but I fail to see where that is my problem. See you at the great white throne. You can explain your good works to Jesus there. Have a nice eternity bro. šŸ”„ I plan to. šŸ‘

Possibly you're thinking of a different chapter and verse???

1Co 4:3Ā  But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.Ā
1Co 4:4Ā  For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified:

That's a question and a statement all in one...And the answer is, 'of course Paul is justified, and he knows it'...

but he that judgeth me is the Lord.Ā

And Paul's already been judged by the Lord and found to be just...

Heā€™s not aware of anything against himself, heā€™s not aware of mortal sin or anything like that,

Excuse me bro, but I strenuously disagree with your concept. When I was a catholic, many years ago, I asked several priests, what is a mortal sin? One priest told me a mortal sin, was any sin of a serious nature. I thought, this priest must be clueless. I wanted to commit sins, but I wanted to stop short of committing a mortal sin. None of the priests could tell me what a mortal sin was. I liked sinning, but I wanted to avoid the big M (mortal sins) After awhile, I couldnā€™t resist anymore, and I was committing ten thousand mortal sins a day, even though I didnā€™t even know what a mortal sin was. Then, I got saved, and have assurance of salvation. Sorry if other people donā€™t, but thatā€™s on them. šŸ˜šŸ‘

Christ and the Bible teach that we will receive our judgment by Jesus upon our death.

Then why the many references, in the book Rome assembled, to the Book of Life, that our names get written into BEFORE our death?

ADSUM: Christ and the Bible teach that we will receive our judgement by Jesus upon our death.

Phil: You are correct. That’s EXACTLY what the bible teaches.

ADSUM: The protestant view of this is incorrect and will lead many to perdition as Satan desires.

Phil: Again correct. Many Christians will lose their salvation from believing in OSAS (once saved, always saved). Same for the pre trib rapture. It’s not going to happen.

Yes, I am SDA, and a Protestant. But, I agree with you on these points no matter what our other doctrinal differences may be.
