I have debated doctrine with Seventh Day Adventist for years now. It is amazing how many verses have multiple interpretations. There is one thing though; they do not know what to do with Israel. Any evidence that modern day Israel is part of bible prophecy must not be tolerated. They would destroy men like J. N. Darby or C. I. Scofield because of what they taught. Their doctrine is based on the same Bible we have today and the fact that Israel exist is evidence that these men are right. Their extensive writing outlines their arguments and you can follow them today. The fact that some of their conclusions were relatively new should not be a problem since the bible is still full of things yet to be discovered. Something that should be expected in a book written by the creator of all things. The sum of the effort of all of the men in history has not exhausted the treasure that the Bible contains.

Israel did not exist when the SDA was founded and they usurped some of the promises concerning Israel including blindness.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

The entire SDA doctrine will stand or fall on this issue since this error is connected to the rest of the errors they have made. For instance, they believe that they are the 144,000 in Revelation 7 and 14. It follows that they cannot accept a Pre-tribulation rapture since the 144,000 are still here in the tribulation.

The Pre-tribulation rapture requires that the 144,000 sealed servants remain in unbelief until after the rapture otherwise they would be taken. (So far, so good on this one.) This is why people like Ironside predicted that certain prophecies could not happen until the Jews returned to their land in unbelief. (Circa 1920’s)

The SDA also had a problem when their denomination exceeded 144,000 members so they converted 144,000 from literal to symbolic. God’s symbols are designed to be both symbolic and literal. There will be 12,000 from each of twelve of the tribes of Israel.

Just before the harvest the wheat will bow down and the tares will stand tall. You will be able to discern the difference between the wheat and the tares. The day will declare it

I guess you haven’t heard that there is no longer Greek nor Jew”, etc... Literal Israel is out as God’s chosen people. They blew it. It is now ONLY God’s Israel. You want to watch literal Israel? Be my guest. Satan wants you to because all you guys who believe in the pre trib rapture theory think literal Israel means something and Satan knows that. I’m sure he will have a surprise for you and the unwitting world. Like sheep going to the slaughter (not a care in the world and none the wiser).

No coming back as God’s chosen people. Now, it’s just the Israel of God (Spiritual Israel if you will).
