Salvation is a free gift of God - Have confidence you are saved!

Be convinced of these 4 biblical truths: 1. Each of us has sinned; 2. God is just, requiring a punishment for sin; 3. But out of love God sent His Son, Jesus Christ who by dying on the cross, provided forgiveness of sins in taking man’s deserved punishment; 4. Therefore, by faith alone in Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and belief in His resurrection, man can gain eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:21-26)

Roman Catholicism does NOT depend upon Scripture.
They claim sole authority to give to us a Bible.
They claim sole authority to "interpret" it for us.
They claim sole authority in salvation and their church is the ONLY means of salvation.

Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus!

Let no one be deceived by their doublespeak. Let them say without equivocation that anyone can be saved outside their church.
Dare them to deny the nulla salus!

Thank YOU for the most excellent composition and the time you took to put it together so clearly. Sadly, there are cult minds which are unable to’see’ what you have shared.

In Matthew those people are being admonished for not doing works...

True.

and in Eph. they are told not to do any works...

The Holy Spirit would never lead anyone to that conclusion about Ephesians 2. Paul is emphasizing the role of Jesus Christ in salvation. He is exhorting them to remember from where their salvation will come, Jesus Christ. They are never told, "not to do any works."

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

It's a pretty simple formula. If you don't do the works which He has given us to do, you won't have sufficient faith for Jesus to impart His Grace. Being obedient to God builds faith and that's what works are for.

That's why Matt 25 and Eph 2 are in perfect harmony.

If you still can't see that, then maybe you should: ...let the Holy Spirit teach you some scripture...

As you put it. :)

No you have it backwards. Salvation is a free gift. We can do nothing to earn it. Our faith is also a gift from God. Works flow out of our salvation. and faith not enable them. I guess that’s why pride is such an abhorrent sin - it damns so many that are too proud to accept Gods free gift and think they can earn it instead.

No, the message is to those who ARE already saved. They are not awaiting salvation, they are already among the Redeemed. Again, which cult do you plight your destiny to?

We're just going in circles. You cannot just proclaim to believe in Christ and then sit on your hands from that point on and be saved. No. That's false. And is exactly something the devil would deceive someone into thinking.

Jesus has proclaimed and His Apostle have explained that He will judge every person by their works. So if you've convinced yourself it doesn't apply to you, then just wait a little longer and see if you're right. Everyone will own the choices they made in this life.

Many of the people Paul's letter's were written to, might very well have been saved. Because of their faith and consistency in following the commandments of God. That and the persecution they faced, Jesus may have very well have forgiven their sins while they were still in this life. It can and does happen. But it was something that was communicated directly to them by the Lord Himself or someone sent directly from the presence of the Lord. They were taught at the feet of Apostles and Prophets. They probably got to meet the risen Lord as well as angels.

But that is not you. Just because God proclaimed Job perfect doesn't mean you are.

You read it in a book that salvation is possible and then went about proclaiming yourself saved.

A command from Jesus, son of God would overturn any previous restriction as it pertains to the Body and Blood of Jesus.

Do you consider the Body and Blood of Jesus the same as blood offerings to idols?

It is Jesus (God) that tells us to eat His Body and drink His Blood four times in John 6. Jesus said “the words that I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.”Jesus established the Sacrament of the Eucharist at the Last Supper and ordained His Apostles and their successor to continue this Sacrament in His memory.

I realize that most protestants have learned over their life time the protestant beliefs of their denomination and it is hard to change, however have they truly examined and searched for God’s Truth.

To me, the way of the world is GroupThink so that everyone expresses the same viewpoint.

While we live in this world and encounter the difficulties, our most important task is to find eternal life with God in Heaven. So we should do everything in our power (choice) with God’s help to achieve that goal.

Jesus told us His Body is true food, indeed, and His Blood is true drink, indeed.

Jesus told us He would be with us until the end of time. He is with us in the Sacrament of the Eucharist and the consecrated hosts are in the Tabernacle throughout the world in Catholic churches.

You do realize that protestant churches can not give anyone the Eucharist (Christ’s Real Presence of His Body and Blood)? Perhaps it is in their financial interest to deny the Eucharist in order to retain members? Do you respect a church that does not preach God’s Truth?

Why do you believe the protestant key components of faith that are not God’s Truth or even in the Bible? Who taught you? No one on FR has proved that some protestants beliefs are even Biblical.

1. Sola Scriptura
2. Sola Fides
3. Once saved, always saved
4. That the Eucharist is not the Real Presence of Jesus (Body and Soul - Human and Divine)
5. Some protestant churches endorse and accept sin. Such as abortion, same-sex marriage, contraceptives,
6. That Jesus gave the Catholic church the authority to bind and loose, forgive sins, teach, preach and baptize with the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. I am not aware that protestant churches have this authority as everyone is free to make their own interpretation of the Bible.
7. They deny the authority given to the Apostles and their successors to forgive sins. (Sacrament of Confession).

I hope you truly listen to God and seek His Truth for your salvation.

Peace.

You tried to float the following fraudulent gospel: "Many of the people Paul's letter's were written to, might very well have been saved. Because of their faith and consistency in following the commandments of God ."

That was clever, but just wrong. You are trying to float 'an other gospel'. NO ONE has been, is, or will be saved in the Age of Grace -as JESUS is building His Church / Body of Believers- by following the commandments as if required for salvation. Your deceit is duly noted and we will attach it to your chosen cult when we get the truth out of you, if we ever get the truth out of you.

Your purposed rejection of what Paul did write is duly noted as a feature of most cults, that it is by GRACE you are saved, not of works lest some gardener boast of keeping the law so he deserves eternal life (I added that name to point the post at the fraudster).

Are you ever going to be honest and tell us to which Christian lookalike religion you belong?.

No, cultist, I am resting on the PROMISE OF GOD. I have no clue what mythology you are believing other than the snippets of heresy you spittle in your posts. It is GOD Who is in me (1 John 3:9) both to will and do of His good pleasure.

I can be certain of that because of HIS PROMISE made real for me because I believe/faithe in The Jesus God's Word presents to the mind of my soul and by the will of my soul I believe with my spirit which HE HAS quickened.

Jesus is coming to the First Heaven to gather His with HIS LIFE in their spirits to Himself, soon. I hope you will be among those He gathers by just trusting in Him Alone by faith alone and upon none of your pitiful efforts to keep the commandments thinking you can earn His Grace.

Some like me follow God’s commandments/do good works because we are saved and we want to show how much we love Christ. Some like you DON’T. You SAY you love Him but your ACTIONS (or lack of) say otherwise. Christ calls that lying.

A seventh day adventist roars, trying to imply I am a liar because I will not endorse his cult mind effluent ... Admit it, cultist, you believe and have been trying for weeks at FR trying to convince Christians that if they don't keep your cult's favorite commandment regarding the sabath they will not be saved for eternity. Your cult demands grace PLUS works, just like most cults except this gardener cultist who claims you must have works continuing until you get saved at 'the judgment'.

Maybe we can arrange a dueling cults event where you and gardener and cronos duke it out for dominance for your chosen cult beliefs? we could make it pay-per-view with proceeds to Freerepublic!

You could have your monkeys pass tin cups for donations as you grind your organ. Or, a DWTS spinoff.....DWTM (dancing with the monkeys). You could raise some serious cash.

I’m not implying anything. I’m referring to a statement in the bible by Jesus Christ Himself.

Gardener is correct about continued obedience and good works throughout one’s life. Gardener is ALSO correct that we will all be judged. I would add:

Romans 2:11For God does not show favoritism. 12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but it is the doers of the law who will be declared righteous.…
