Jeremiah 50:

Almighty God,
Hallowed Be Your Name!
How we love to sing Your praises,
To Lift Up Your Holy Name in Worship,
For You Alone are Worthy of Praise.
For You are Holy,
Righteous and Just,
And Glorious in Majesty!
You Alone Are The One True God.
Perfect in All Your Ways

Be Revealed.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

It is very painful when a religious or political leader is exposed as a fraud or an evildoer. Thousands of people who trusted and supported that person suddenly have the rug pulled out from under them when they realize that they have been deceived. It also causes great internal conflict. Do we immediately purge this "bad shepherd" from our midst? Do we believe the worst or the best about him? Are the people who stand by this person being loyal, or just foolish?

No matter how painful Truth may be, it is always the better option.

While we all do a fine job of "straying" on our own, a "bad shepherd" can lead whole flocks into perdition. God has said through His Prophets that false teachers, false prophets, and bad shepherds will be judged far more harshly than plain old sheep.

It is something to think about when taking a leadership role.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
