The parable says nothing about a rapture

I have often wondered about who the virgins are in the story.

I know most preaching I have heard is that they are Christians, but I tend to disagree.

The virgins are there for the wedding feast and waiting for the Bridegroom.

It’s generally recognized that Christ is the bridegroom. However, the virgins are not the bride.

WE, the church, are the bride. The bridegroom is not going to marry the virgins, he’s going to marry the bride. The virgins are guests or something.

I don’t know who the virgins are to represent but considering who the bride is, I don’t they they are the church.

The virgins are attending OUR wedding to the groom, not theirs.

I’m waiting for the big event: Acts 1:9-13; don’t know about any so-called Rapture.

The rapture is a new dogma, that assures middle class white Christians that they will be taken away safe during persecution by antiChrist forces.

However, the millions of Russian, Chinese, Asian, Arab and African believers who died over the last 100 years and are still facing persecution today because they believe in Christ are never mentioned by those preaching this doctrine.

A distant thunder

The second movie in the end times series from Russ Doughten finds Patty on the run as she tries to elude the evil forces of UNITE. Throughout this movie she lives as a fugitive trying to hide from the ever increasing trouble around her. I believe in the rapture of the Church. Meaning those who have been born again into eternal salvation by faith. So whether the rapture is true or not, I’m heaven bound. If it happens I’m ready, if He tarries I’m still ready. What each of us believes in our heart isn’t going to change Gods plan. I think it best to check on our on salvation and make sure we are ready. We each need all of the oil promised to us and it will be enough. At the moment of being saved we are secure in Him, filled with Holy Spirit and Heaven is our home.
