Your record keeps skipping.
Perhaps you can explain why seven churches (Catholic?) in Asia went off the rails even before John the Revelator died?
(Evidently not...)
They didn't go off the rails. Have you ever read the book of the Apocalypse?
Ephesus: 2 “I know your works, your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot tolerate the wicked; you have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not, and discovered that they are impostors.[d] 3 Moreover, you have endurance and have suffered for my name, and you have not grown weary. 4 Yet I hold this against you: you have lost the love you had at first. 5 Realize how far you have fallen. Repent, and do the works you did at first. -- they were slipping and they got back on their feet
Smyrna - no admonition
Pergamum - "some fell"
Thyatira - they tolerate a woman
Sardis - they still have a chance
Philly - no admonition
Laocidea - lukewarm
Your own chuch of one, Elsie, would be rising if it reached any of those early Christian churches level
they faced persecution by the Jewish authorities (Sadducees), by the Jewish elite (Pharisees) by the Roman Authorities.
You face none of those yet you can't compare to them.
Don't disrespect the Christians who went through the great tribulation - would you be able to have withstood it?
