Father God, we pray to You in the name of Jesus with confidence that the day will come when we will indeed shout our praise and say, ““If it had not been the LORD who was on our side,” “If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when evil men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us; then we would have been overwhelmed by socialism and evil powers, the stream would have gone over our soul; then the swollen waters would have gone over our soul.”
Blessed be the LORD, Who will not give us as prey to their teeth. Our soul will escape as a bird from the snare of the fowlers;
We confess that our snare will be broken, and we will escape. Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.”(From Psalms 124)
We can confess this because we believers in the Lordship of Jesus are those who trust in the LORD . We are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. We confess by faith: FOR THE SCEPTER OF WICKEDNESS SHALL NOT REST ON THE LAND ALLOTTED TO THE RIGHTEOUS lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
Do good, O LORD, to those who are made good by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity.
