The actual sociological survey by Andrew Greeley showed 30 percent, and half of them kept their vow of celibacy.
True, the survey is 20 years old, but things improved since it was done, e.g. seminary reform and getting rid of some of tho worst priests and bishops who tolerated this.

What is the basis for such a large overall estimate, whether it be 50 million, 68 million or 100 million killed? Dowling does not say where he obtained his figure. Brownlee, at least, breaks the figure into categories, but does not say where the estimate of 50 million comes from. Another source also gives some information about this topic, namely, M. D. Aletheia, The Rationalist’s Manual (1897):

Secondly, after the Napoleonic wars, the Papal continued until 1870.
Either way your 1260 is days not years.

The 1260 years starts in 538 with Justinian declaring the pope/Catholic Church:
