Last night, my sister said she saw something on FB about my cousin losing her son. There was no other info, and so, the first thing this morning, I sent out this email:
Dear Diane,
As you may know, I am not on facebook or twitter, so I get a lot of my information second-hand or not at all.
I heard last night that you have recently suffered a terrible loss. I don't know if it is a rumor or not. Please let me know how you are doing.

Here was her reply:
Hi MaryLou. Yes we lost our son Peter unexpectedly on Friday. We are all so devastated. Only our faith and love from family and friends gets us through. Thank you so much for reaching out. I appreciate any prayers you can pray. Love you
Here was my reply:
Oh my dear Diane, I am SO SORRY. Here I was, merrily sending out my daily stories, and I didn't even know. I remember when I lost my husband, the phone was ringing off the hook and I had a hard time having to explain over and over, so I was very careful about reaching out, and prayed that I used the right words. I know in my heart that you are a person of Faith, and that you know that "This world is not our home", yet the pain and loss can't be measured. When you are able, please feel free to call me.
In the meantime, I will lift you and your family up in prayer, and ask my prayer warriors on Free Republic to do the same.
May Our Beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comfort you during this time of devastating loss.

Love
Mary-Lou

That is all the information I have, and all I can share with you, but God knows the situation. Please join me in prayer for this situation, and please resist the temptation to speculate, as I must do as well. We don't need any more info than the knowledge that one of us is in need of prayer. Please join me.
Adding my prayer
I am not on FB, so I end up being the last to know about family news. Please read the above post, and pray with me for my cousin and her family.
Thanks.
Thank you, NewCenturions, for your prayers.

Thank you, hoosiermama, for your prayers.
May the peace that passes all human understanding be with them and guide them during their grieving process. May they accept that all done in love is from Jesus.
Lord, station your angels around this family.
Adding my prayers to yours!
