Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord

Oh, Lord, our God, we bless your name. We rejoice in you and praise you through good times and through bad times. You are the same God in the valley as you are on the mountain. Times are exceedingly difficult for so many people right now. There is chaos, confusion, sickness, strife, fear, inequity, and on and on. Help us remember that you are still on the throne and in control. Help us remember that you are our blessed hope and our strength through it all. Help us remember that we are not of this world, but only passing through. Give us the courage to run the race to the end and not turn to the right or the left but follow on the path you have set for each of us.

Isaiah 40: 28-31 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

We earnestly ask forgiveness for our sins as individuals, as a community, and as a nation. Please, Lord, heal our land. We pray for the lost souls to seek you and to turn from their wicked ways. Through all this turmoil, help them find their way to you.

Thank you for sending us a warrior for a president. We pray for his protection. Please fill him with your Holy Spirit and guide him through this incredibly difficult time. Surround him with godly counselors. Give them wisdom and discernment. Protect every federal, state, and local leader that is working for what is right according to your will. Help them to be strong in their convictions and to stand firm against the fiery darts of the evil one

Please protect all those who are on the front lines; our firefighters, EMTs, first responders, police officers, sheriffs, and deputy sheriffs. As well as our doctors, nurses, clergy, and educators.

We pray, Dear Heavenly Father, for an abrupt end to the arson that is happening on the west coast. We bind the evil that is creating, funding, and organizing the rioting, looting, and murdering taking place throughout our cities. Lord, we pray these people are found and brought to justice swiftly.

We trust in you, Lord. We know that you will see us through it all. We give you praise and honor. All glory belongs to you.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus! Amen.

O Lord, in his Sunday sermon your worthy servant John MacArthur said America is no longer postmodern but pagan. In practical terms this means that natural men--pagans--preach from many pulpits, are seminarians, educators, law-makers, politicians, and so on. And where paganism is there is also the oppressive demonic darkness that enslaves men to sin and death.
