A simple exercise in how Satan can lie and those lies become Truth:
The scriptures say the Passover Lamb was slain on the 14th day, the Feast of Passover.
Paul taught that as part of the very first/chief importance of the Gospel.
Why does the world follow Satan’s lie of false goddess Frigg day, then?
Satan knows the real day the Lamb died.
Why the different day then?
Why does the world follow what Satan sells and not what Paul taught?
When did the scripture’s three days of Passover, Unleavened Bread , and First Fruits/wave sheaf, become Satan’s False goddess Frigg day, holy false god saturn day and Easter false god sun day?
Ask again what good does it do Satan, to have knowledge of Truth?
It appears to be a perfect avenue for Satan to counterfeit Truth and deceive a world.
Satan has knowledge that Passover is the Father’s 6th day.
Satan telling the lie that false goddess Frigg day is the 6th day does lots of damage in regards to the keeping of the commandments.
Satan with knowledge of Truth can create a counterfeit Christ, and counterfeit Sabbath.
That knowledge allows Satan, a lying thief, to steal,kill and destroy.
It doesn't matter WHEN we celebrate Christ's birth as much as that we just celebrate it. I know some get bent out of shape for pagan Christmas trees, but keeping Christ in Christmas is a most excellent evangelistic opportunity. Even if it is on Dec 25th.
It's also important because one of the commandments of the Almighty is to "remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy."
You're right in that the great deceiver has deceived many and made them believe a lie and that it's not essential, but it is because it's in keeping with the commandments.
The Jews have survived as a nation because of the few among them who have kept God's commandments. The time of the Gentiles ends because the Gentiles allowed iniquity to corrupt the Gospel message they were trusted to spread.
Hosea 4 has come full circle. But it's the Gentiles it applies to now. The corrupting of the Gospel accelerated in the 4th and 5th centuries and is reaching its zenith in our time.
The "people of Prince" in Daniel 9:26 is the Gentile Church. In the 4th century, the Church changed the times. In the 5th century the sacrifice was prohibited under penalty of death.
All foretold by Daniel, from a Jewish perspective, centuries before.
