This is a fine line.
I’ve been with two men in my life. My first boyfriend was an atheist and my husband, the father of our children, is nominally a Catholic.
I am a believer but I did have sex with them.
I honestly didn’t think it was bad or that I was violating my very strong faith.
I hope that I don’t get flamed.
I suppose that if you are older, like in your ‘20s, it’s okay. I was a virgin until I was 21 at least.

Yes, and I also think that’s why God made women more fertile when they are young. Older teenagers have much more energy to take care of a baby than older women.
The challenges you face with a newborn are physical, while the challenges you face with older children, teenagers, are more psychological.
Young women have the energy for the physical, but not the wisdom; older women have the experience and maturity to guide their children through the problems they face.

When you stop seeing someone you had sex with that is the most painful part of being separate. you did something you were supposed to wait to share until you knew you would be together forever.

I know that doesn’t fit the horrifying eternal suffering that too many here wish for because they got married at 16 and it really wasn’t a concern but it is what really happens. They can trust me on that.
Some hells can be lived here on Earth. That’s a result of our decisions and not listening to God.

Something to consider: the whole becoming one flesh thing seems to be basically getting married in the Lord’s eyes. Ceremonies came later.

Did you realize that you were essentially getting married that first time you fooled around as a kid and so it might not be considered sex outside of marriage?

Well that’s very true. You are exactly correct And everything about the God of the Bible and His Son is hated. But it won’t be a joke or “judging” when He appears in the clouds. I preach to myself too.

You have identified the primary reason why very few people wait until marriage to have sex. The reality is that not every couple is truly compatible, and waiting until after marriage to find out is a very scary prospect.
But, I do believe in waiting until after marriage because I do not believe we can truly evaluate our own degree of compatibility prior to marriage; and if we go by trial and error, we have to be sexually intimate with many people before finding mr. or ms. right. Every sexual partner prior to marriage damages the potential for intimacy in marriage. Further, the degree to which we act impatiently with a potential spouse when it comes to sex, the more we show we cannot be trusted in marriage to be faithful.
So, waiting until after marriage is a major test of faith. It requires asking God to show us if a particular person is compatible and trusting His answer. This is not a small thing.
All of this presupposes that we have a relationship with God and are seeking His will and approval and blessing on our marriage and family.
