Of David.
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold* of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evildoers assail me
to devour my flesh—
my adversaries and foes—
they shall stumble and fall.
3 Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident.
4 One thing I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
to live in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in his temple.
5 For he will hide me in his shelter
in the day of trouble;
he will conceal me under the cover of his tent;
he will set me high on a rock.
6 Now my head is lifted up
above my enemies all around me,
and I will offer in his tent
sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make melody to the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud,
be gracious to me and answer me!
8 ‘Come,’ my heart says, ‘seek his face!’
Your face, Lord, do I seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me.
Do not turn your servant away in anger,
you who have been my help.
Do not cast me off, do not forsake me,
O God of my salvation!
10 If my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will take me up.
11 Teach me your way, O Lord,
and lead me on a level path
because of my enemies.
12 Do not give me up to the will of my adversaries,
for false witnesses have risen against me,
and they are breathing out violence.
13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!

We pray together in the name of Jesus for our Nation and our President, Donald John Trump and say, “Save us, O God, For the waters have threatened his life. Because of You he has not sunk in deep mire, where there is no foothold; the floods do not overwhelm him. We see Your strength in him and we are grateful. As he keeps his eyes on You, Jesus, his eyes will not fail as he confidently waits for You. Those who hate him without cause are more than the hairs of his head; Those who would destroy him are powerful, being his enemies wrongfully; He is forced to restore what he did not steal. Because for Your sake he has borne reproach. Because of You, confusion and dishonor will not cover his face. May zeal for Your house consume every member of Your body in our United States of America.
Our prayer is to You, O Lord, at this acceptable and opportune time; O God, in the greatness of Your favor and in the abundance of Your lovingkindness, Answer us with truth [that is, the faithfulness of Your salvation]. Rescue us from from those who hate us and from the deep waters. (My note: Yes, the AMP uses those words!)
Do not let the floodwater overwhelm us, Nor the deep waters swallow me up,
Nor the pit [of Sheol] shut its mouth over us.
Answer us, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is sweet and good and comforting;
According to the greatness of Your compassion, turn to us. Do not hide Your face from Your servant and our President, for he is in distress; answer him quickly.
Draw near to his soul and redeem it; Ransom him because of his enemies [so that they do not delight in his distress].
You know his reproach and his shame and dishonor [how he is insulted]; His adversaries are all before You [each one fully known].
May their table [with all its abundance and luxury] become a snare [to them];
And when they are in peace [secure at their sacrificial feasts], may it become a trap.
May their eyes be dimmed so that they cannot see, And make their loins shake continually [in terror and weakness]. Pour out Your indignation on them,
And let [the fierceness of] Your burning anger overtake them. May their encampment be desolate; May no one dwell in their tents.
May Your salvation, O God, set him [securely] on high.
We will praise the name of God with song And magnify Him with thanksgiving.
The humble WILL see it and are glad; Our hearts will revive and live. For the Lord hears the needy And does not despise His who are prisoners.
Let heaven and earth praise Him, The seas and everything that moves in them.

We—President Trump, all who support him, and the Lord’s faithful children, ‘must’ be guilty, for we are the necessary scapegoats for a people (souls)—within and without the church— who refuse to accept responsibility for their own poor choices and sins.”
