The Catholic, Jewish, Methodist, Quaker and Episcopalian leaders of the Interfaith Council of Southern Delaware County led some 200 participants in a nonviolent Black Lives Matter protest Saturday, Aug. 1 in Ridley Township, which met with intimidation by counter-protesters. One reason why Catholic leadership seems to always be on the wrong side of events is due to their motivation.
Most Catholic dioceses want to fill their churches, schools and coffers. Less Americans are going to church on a steady basis. We are also having fewer children, getting married less often. Less men are completing college.
Advocating more imports of immigrants who already have a catholic culture or background is one way to remedy this, be they legal or ‘otherwise’ in their view.
Most Catholic organizations are concerned about being sued for not marrying gays, not having openly gay lay teachers, not ‘promoting the beliefs of the Trans Lobby, so they tend to give in far sooner than longtime members may expect or want.
Useful idiots.
“Dont know why catholic leadership seems to always get on the wrong side of events....”
I guess that’s why I’m a “lapsed” Catholic. The Church is not what it once was.
Theyre communists. Jim. Commies.
The Catholic, Jewish, Methodist, Quaker and Episcopalian leaders Ok no Christian believers
Blacks are destroying DelCo.
It used to be blue collar Irish and Italian.
Well said.

The Eucharist is still there, and I will not let poor shepherds keep me from receiving my Precious Lord.
I will pray for you.
Dangerously naive and ignorant.
No priest, let alone Catholic, should in any way be supporting them, attending their marches, or mouthing their bigotry, the visitor wrote.
Just like the World Council of Churches, they cover every so-called faith or I should say cult but true Christianity and would exclude them for teaching and preaching the real Jesus.
Be thankful your salvation doesn’t rely on organized institutions, catholic or otherwise...but on the man Jesus Christ.
Basically you’re saying the catholic church has failed what it was called to do...and I don’t see it changing the trajectory it’s leadership is taking it.
Both the cathlic led ‘Interfaith’ movement and the world Council of churches are political entities.
I guess I was trying not to say that, but it appears you may be correct. The most positive way to see this is to presume the Catholic Church is ..what’s the word?...”evolving” into some different faith, as they like to say.
Well it’s actually clothed itself on the wrong horse.
The Eucharist is still there, and I will not let poor shepherds keep me from receiving my Precious Lord.
I will pray for you.
