Then went on to confirm what I’ve been saying. Faith only is a false doctrine. You must add to your faith hearing, repenting, believing, confessing, baptism and following Christ as a disciple.
Then you go on and confirm what I have been saying which is when you start adding to faith one MUST do this, this, this...you are essentially saying you are saved by what YOU do - by your works. That contradicts grace. If you try to be justified by works, you have fallen FROM grace. Of course God wants us to obey Him, live for Him and glorify Him in our lives but that is the result of a changed heart - a new birth in Christ. We love Him because He first loved us! We serve Him out of gratitude not out of fear of hell.

The Council at Fresno...
