Teleios Research, you have done what you could. You have presented the simple Gospel of Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection and have planted seeds in the hearts of all that have read this thread. Yes, there are scorners, and yes, there are scoffers. They have chosen their fate and will have no one to blame but themselves. Even Jesus Christ will have to tell them that they chose Hell and eternal destruction over His dead, yet resurrected, body.

You have planted seeds. The god of this world has blinded the minds of those that reject the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), but there are plenty that have not yet chosen pleasure in unrighteousness, through deceivableness of unrighteousness to reject the love of the truth, that they might be saved. They still have a chance.

Keep plugging, FRiend. All I can say is just stick with it and do the right thing and eventually you have to trust that God will do something with your diligence with your faithfulness and with your hard work and everything will turn out to His glory.

Therefore, by faith alone in Christ’s sacrifice ...

I know I’m posting to a bot and bots do not reply. But as I’ve posted before - you are posting FALSE DOCTRINE

Nope...That's what grace is all about...

Heb_2:9  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Tit 3:4  But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Tit 3:5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing (no water) of regeneration, (rebirth, spitirual renovation) and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6  Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; (not thru the Catholic religion)
Tit 3:7  That being justified by his grace : (we have been made just, freely thru faith), we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

you are posting FALSE DOCTRINE

This IS the correct doctrine FOR THIS DISPENSATION...

Eph_3:2  If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

You've never heard of it, have you??? It's in the bible...

Given to whom??? The Gentiles...Why???

Col_1:25  Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Do you know what part of the word of God was fulfilled in this dispensation??? That's in the bible too...

The bible teaches that God sent His Son to save us from our sins, not in our sins and gives us the power to overcome our sins if we repent and ask for His forgiveness. It's in there. Just look it up and trust his promise!!!

Show us the scripture...

36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe.

When one says that they believe, but reject God’s Word and the Church Jesus founded, they probably do not truly believe, as they believe in false teachers and not the Word of God.

Let us recall that Jesus at the Last Supper told his followers “This is my Body” and “This my Blood” and I give this to you as my gift to you with sanctifying grace so that I will always be with you and you will truly believe in me and join me in Heaven. And I want you to repeat this in my memory and give My Body and My Blood to all my followers in the Church. For this is truly Me. I will abide in you and I will abide in you.

Like the Jews in John Chapter 6, many did not believe, but they continued on with their own personal beliefs and missed one of the greatest gifts from God.

What a gift! Why wouldn’t everyone line up daily to receive the Eucharist? Too many don’t believe.

Even Jesus told us in prayer to the Father, “Give us this day our daily bread.”

Romans 2:13-16: For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified… on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Jesus Christ.

So you closed your bible at the beginning of Romans chapter three???

Rom 3:21  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Well that eliminates the 'doers of the law' mentioned in Romans 2:12 doesn't it??? Now for a little icing...

Rom 3:28  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

2Ti_2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

You've got a long way to go...

"Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee." From one of the numerous Psalms by King David via King James.(and not from any of the too many revised versions!)

Too much "pickin-an-choosin" goin on, lookin for a way to git comfortable while continuin with the sinnin with out repentin directly to God, rather than a human priest!!!

Why should I? You can find a bible anywhere! Even on line! The King James is public domain and most accurate and even searchable!! That's why I said: "Just look it up and trust his promise!!!"

Don't lay off onto me what you can do for yourself. Besides, unless you DIY, you will never be as satisfied with any of it like you would be if you DIY. Isn't that "cool," Iscool???

“ Even Jesus told us in prayer to the Father, “Give us this day our daily bread.”

Not about the Eucharist, but God’s supply for or physical needs.

So how do you know? Is it just another stupid personal opinion when one does not understand or want to believe God’s Word?

You don’t believe in the Eucharist as you reject it.

Isn’t Our Father more concerned about our salvation than our daily needs?

Jesus told us “this is the bread that comes down from Heaven, that a man may eat and not die.”

Our bodies will die, but our souls may have life in Heaven or no life in Hell. Obviously, the Eucharist is for our souls so that we will have life in Heaven.

Jesus told us “my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink, indeed.”

Where is your bread that comes down from Heaven?

Your belief is false based on a man made doctrine that contradicts God’s Truth and a false church. Seek the Truth (Math 7:7)

“ So how do you know? ”

........,

Literal Greek states that our Lord teaches us to ask for *bread* for the coming day.

Matthew 6:9–13 “Our bread, that for the coming day, give us today.”

Not anything about the Eucharist, nor eternal life.

You added that.

Maybe wearing Romanism colored glasses makes one see Romanism everywhere on looks??

I guess I kind of thought of it as an indulgence. When I was in the Catholic high school, I went to mass everyday except Saturday. I was told if I went to mass on 9 straight first Fridays, I could get a soul out of purgatory. I felt so empowered.

Yrs, salvation on the installment plan. Heresy.

Um, ‘fasith’ is an active word, as in to faithe. A newborn into God’s Family has a perfect parent who will raise you up in the way that you should go. Continuing in sin is not tolerated by God as your parent. signed MHGinTN

Um, so what happens to a Christian if they do continue in sin?

Can’t answer a simple question, can you MHGinTN? Well, actually you did previously. Your answer was NOTHING HAPPENS TO A CHRISTIAN THAT CONTINUES TO SIN, BECAUSE THEY ARE ALREADY SAVED (see you in the clouds and all that stuff). You said that one cannot lose their salvation. You called me a cultist for saying you could. Now you are saying God won’t TOLERATE it. Will you please just be clear and tell everyone what you mean? How about this:

Hebrews 10:26If we deliberately go on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins remains, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume all adversaries.…

You do not rightly divide the word of God and that is clearly obvious.

Hebrews 10:26If we deliberately go on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins remains, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume all adversaries.

Which goes along with,

And because ye are sons [Paul's audience], God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Galatians 4:6)

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again [those who were set free] with the yoke of bondage [going back into what they were set free from]. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if [submission to Judaizers these believers are being warned against] ye be circumcised [signifying justification obtained by keeping all the law], Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become [an effectual change due to their choice] of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace[their former state]. For we [those who continue to believe] through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. (Galatians 5:1-5)

Take heed, brethren, [contextually not a general sense, but as believers] lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God [a departure from their former state s believers]. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin [a change of heart]. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end [[perseverance of the saints]. (Hebrews 3:12-14)

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering [continued exhortation to persevere]; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, [indicating departing from the faith, as follows] as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:23-25)

For if [a choice brethren are warned against] we [not just you] sin wilfully [not out of weakness, but with full consent, as a decision not to continue but to depart, signified by giving up being with the believers] after that we have received the knowledge of the truth [a term which refers to believing, as per 1Tim. 2:4; 2Tim. 3:7], there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins [cf. Hebrews 6:6-8; a terminal condition of judgment, with no provision for repentance and forgiveness, having forfeited what saving faith obtained], But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. (Hebrews 10:26-27)

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified [a past condition, appropriated by faith, now forfeited by a definite denial of the same] , an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:28-29)

Cast not away therefore your confidence, [the issue being faith, out of which obedience flows] which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise [not that doing earns the promise, but that saving faith is that which finally perseveres, which faith as manifested in works God - who gave faith and the ability and motivation to obey - rewards under grace] For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Now the just shall live by faith [the just live by faith, not merely profess it, with such faith being what appropriates justification]: but if any man draw back [a denial of justifying faith], my soul shall have no pleasure in him [as solemnly, fearfully described above]. But we [who do not draw back, but persevere] are not of them who draw back unto perdition [contextually a terminal condition of judgment, with no provision for repentance and forgiveness due to treating Christ with contempt] but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. (Hebrews 10:35-39)

Such departing from the the living God, drawing backing into perdition, falling from grace, etc., is likely the the "great transgression," (Psalms 9:13) that of having "wickedly departed from my God,"(2 Samuel 22:22) which David stated he did not do, despite his sins, for unlike apostates he overall kept the ways of the Lord, and confessed in repentance when convicted of not doing so, (2 Samuel 12:7-13)

It is the Father's will that none should perish and that all whom the Father gives Christ shall be saved, but as with Judas, there are some sons of perdition. Whatever glorifies God most should be what we want.

Note again that the above verses are clearly written to believers as believers, exhorting them to continue in the faith and warning against rejecting it, and thus these cannot be dismissed as never having been born again , although there are those who left fellowship since they were never in Christ. (1 John 2:19)

And again, salvation is by grace thru faith, however, salvation being by grace and not by works does not mean conversion takes place when one is comatose, but this is realized by a God enabled and motivated response.

for in conversion man does what he otherwise wold not and could not do. Man could not and would not believe on the Lord Jesus or follow Him unless God gave him life, and breath, and all good things he has, (Acts 17:25) and convicted him, (Jn. 16:8) drew him, (Jn. 6:44; 12:32) opened his heart, (Acts 16:14) and granted repentance (Acts 11:18) and gave faith, (Eph. 2:8,9) and then worked in him both to will and to do of His good pleasure the works He commands them to do. (Phil. 2:13; Eph. 2:10)

, Yet it is not be the merit of works that one is saved by, although works of faith as led by the Spirit are the credentials of faith. (Rm. 8:14; Heb. 6:9,10; 1 Thes. 1:7ff)

Therefore denying OSAS is not teaching salvation by grace thru faith and teaching salvation by the merit of works instead, since the issue is denying the faith, which is evidenced by works (thus such a sin as neglecting to take care one's own is said to to be denying the faith: 1 Tim. 5:8). Just as forgiveness and healing went together in the case of the palsied man in (Mark 2:2-11 so that the cause and the effect could be used interchangeably, so faith and works go together, yet it is heart-purifying faith (Acts 15:9) that is the effect, and is counted for righteousness, (Rm. 4:5) with acceptance in the Beloved (Eph. 1:6) being on His account, while works justify the believer as being a believer.
I once held to OSAS myself, and by nature would like to now, but in the light of Scripture I find it incontrovertible that believers are being addressed as believers in these texts, and I cannot see how all such can be dismissed as hypothetical, or that the consequences warned of are less than that of damnation as lost soul, and even of such being the more accountable.

Yet i pray and trust that as David said, The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. (Psalms 138:8)

Thanks be to God.

One of the greatest gifts God ever gave humans is free will. You can choose to obey or you can choose to sin. The choice is yours. Those who “SAY” they love God will obey Him and will keep his commandments. It’s pretty simple.

1 john 2: My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Those in heaven will all be commandment keepers: Old testament and new testament concur.

Ecclesiastes 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Revelation 14: And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
