Be convinced with these 4 biblical truths: 1. Each of us has sinned; 2. God is just, requiring a punishment for sin; 3. But out of love God sent His Son, Jesus Christ who by dying on the cross, provided forgiveness of sins in taking man’s deserved punishment; 4. Therefore, by faith alone in Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and belief in His resurrection, man can gain eternal life. I do hope that you challenge yourself to objectively understand the words of Jesus

While we hope that you challenge yourself to COMPLETELY OBEY the words of Jesus found in Matthew 23:9

I could stack my credentials as a deacon and Bible Class teacher over the last 40 years as evidence that I know the plan of salvation far better than you, but it's clear that it's time to shake the dust of my feet when it comes to explaining the simplicity of it to you.

Let me send a couple of LDS missionaries your way and we'll just SEE who Knows More!

Your question: “Why do you flagrantly disobey Christ by calling men father?”

We do it just to annoy protestants who don’t understand or are unable to use reason to understand the meaning of God’s Word.

We get a good chuckle when protestants keep repeating the same verse over and over again when they can’t answer a question.

Here is a good article to help you understand, although it is unlikely that you would accept it.

It could not be more clear, except to those who refuse to believe that the SDA’s just might be right on this one. But of course to believe the SDA’s means no pre trib rapture, and you guys just won’t have that, will you? You people will come up with the most ridiculous, unbelievably concocted theories and stretching of scripture to explain the very simple word of God. Stopping the heavenly clock? are you serious?

It's patently obvious to me that your mind is already made up on this and no amount of proof or counter arguments will make any difference. And that's okay because whether one believes in the Rapture or not isn't a "salvific" doctrine. You have freedom to have your own opinions about "disputable matters" and so do I. There are I'm sure some doctrines that you and I agree about but that doesn't make the SDA right about everything. I don't see the need to continue arguing about this topic. You know where I stand and vice versa. We will ALL find out who's right eventually.

However, where I will not agree to disagree is on soteriology. Because on that doctrine you and your church are definitely wrong showing you have a lot in common with all the other heretical cults and religions that man has invented over the course of history. It couldn't be clearer that the genuine Christian faith is based upon the recognition of God's sovereignty and His unsurpassed grace towards mankind. We can never earn or merit His gift of eternal life and that is why it is through faith that we receive it and not by our works - so that NO ONE may boast. Let go of sinful pride about how good and worthy you are to be saved and humble yourself before God and accept His mercy and grace. I continue to pray for you.

January 4, 2014 I returned to the Lord after a 50+ year absence. I didn't convert from the belief system I was raised in, I just fell in love with the world all those years and pushed all religious thought from my mind. I became neither rich, nor famous, just deluded with the chances of all that, then disillusioned with total worldliness. I returned to the faith of my fathers and mothers in a totally devout manner.

I'm certain the tenor of my posts has taken on a whole new trend since 1/4/14. In fact, i didn't post much at all until more recently. Thank God i've become more tolerant and kinder toward my fellow men and women, without becoming more liberal politically. I hope you understand. My mother would not have been proud of my behavior prior to that date but now I'm hoping to surprise both her and my earthly father on resurrection day with a wonderful reunion. Then I will be changed once again, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye!!!

I've never lived in No. Dakota. My father and grandfather lived there and now both of them as well as my mother are buried together there, waiting for Jesus to come and call them up out of that cold...COLD ground on resurrection day. I went to the cemetery with pieces of paper and a lead pencil and made impressions of the words on their gravestones. That got me to singing the old hymn Falith of our Fathers Living Still.

That was in 2010 and 4 years later I returned to the faith of my fathers. We were so glad to be in our R.V. because the oil boom caused every room rental in Dickenson to be totally sold out!!! We slept in the Wal Mart parking lot.

Can you believe I was from Grand Forks, and the furthest west I ever went, was to Devils Lake, and I only went there to play hockey. I have never been to Minot, Dickinson, Bismarck or Williston. 👎 We spent most of our time in Minnesota. 🤗 Now, it’s above 85° every day of the year here. 👍🤪🤑

What part of CA? Out of 58 counties, about a dozen have western boundaries by the Pacific Ocean that vote solidly as blue voting counties. All the rest are solid voting bright red counties. But you probably already knew that if the later part of that 30years was recent.

Did you just make that up?

Just kinda brought it up to date; more or less.

I guess Solomon was right in stating, "There's nothing new under the sun."

Here is the ACTUAL account of what the 'Catholic Church' was like in the early days:

Acts 15

The Council at Jerusalem
1 Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: "Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved." 2 This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question. 3 The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had been converted. This news made all the believers very glad. 4 When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and elders, to whom they reported everything God had done through them.

5 Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, "The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to keep the law of Moses."

6 The apostles and elders met to consider this question. 7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. 8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. 9 He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. 10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? 11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are."

12 The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them. 13 When they finished, James spoke up. "Brothers," he said, "listen to me. 14 Simon has described to us how God first intervened to choose a people for his name from the Gentiles. 15 The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written:

16 "'After this I will return
   and rebuild David's fallen tent.
Its ruins I will rebuild,
   and I will restore it,
17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
even all the Gentiles who bear my name,
says the Lord, who does these things'
18 things known from long ago.

19 "It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. 21 For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath."

The Council's Letter to Gentile Believers
22 Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers. 23 With them they sent the following letter:

The apostles and elders, your brothers,

To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:

   Greetings.

24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. 25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul— 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.

   Farewell.

30 So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter. 31 The people read it and were glad for its encouraging message. 32 Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the believers. 33 After spending some time there, they were sent off by the believers with the blessing of peace to return to those who had sent them. [34] 35 But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, where they and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord.

Disagreement Between Paul and Barnabas
36 Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing." 37 Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, 38 but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. 39 They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, 40 but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the believers to the grace of the Lord. 41 He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
