I don’t hate you. You don’t hate me. I think you’re wrong and you think I’m wrong, otherwise you’d be going to my church or I to yours.
We don’t have to agree to work together. And that is what is important.
On the greater issues, religious freedom, abortion, easy no contest divorce, gay marriage, euthanasia, we agree and we in fact need to stand united.
I think you’re full of crap, just like you think I am, and we both think all others are full of crap too. The important thing is that we work together on those issues where we all can agree. Because we ankle bite each other and would rather tear each other down than tackle the bigger issues unified, we today live in a country where gay’s adopt children who at the age of 12 decide they suffer from gender dysphoria and get hormones and the law as well as society et al. supports this.
Conservatives tend to have more principals / values and they tend to be less tolerant. When someone doesn’t meet their definition of perfection they get disqualified, even if that person is the best option, I. E. Ronald Reagan was a divorcee and many Christians of the time didn’t support him. Donald Trump is crude and vulgar and many don’t support him either, even though he’s probably one of the greatest pro-christian presidents we have had post WWII.
Because the right / conservatives have this “narrow path” and often all or nothing approach, they get these frauds, feel good BS candidates like Bush W. or Romney. Even if someone is 90% what you like, a conservative voter will look at the 10% and disqualify them, not realizing that no one shy of Jesus meets their holy definition of perfection. What they end up getting are not really solid conservative candidates, but at least appear nice enough and never said a bad word on a microphone, have a wife that smiles and knows her place, bla bla bla. Conservative Christians spend more time tearing each other down than their enemies.
So if we discuss the nuance of religions or the various denominations I will disagree with you on some things, just like I disagree with a Roman Catholic, or a Southern Baptist on other aspects, but we are ALL allies in this battle we face by a secular (athiest), socialist left who frankly have been winning.
Don’t see disagreement as hatred.
