Trans activist targets Christian baker, again
Christian Colorado baker Jack Phillips is in court again over refusing to bend to the LGBT agenda, and it's clear he's being targeted by a trans activist.
After successfully slugging out a six-year case that the U.S. Supreme Court decided in his favor in 2018, Phillips went back to court on April 9 after refusing to make a birthday cake celebrating a person's so-called gender transition.
His accuser? A man calling himself Autumn Scardina, who's also an attorney.
He's alleging $100,000 in damages, fines and attorneys' fees after Phillips refused to bake a birthday cake for him in June 2017, celebrating his so-called transition to being a woman.
It's the second time Scardina has gone after Phillips in civil court suing him.
His first attempt was on the same day in 2017 the U.S. Supreme Court decided to hear Phillips' case a case bringing Phillips to the brink of financial ruin.
The Colorado Civil Rights Commission filed a lawsuit in response to Scardina's complaint a year before the Supreme Court slammed the commission for "clear and impermissible hostility" against Phillips' religious beliefs.

Got to get the limelight back where it belongs.
And get a personal restraining order to boot.
For the life of me I dont know why he just doesnt agree to make them a cake with a money back guarentee, and just make them a crappy cake? He will get a bad rap by gays and trans and not get their business by default, which is the business whe doesnt want . His way via standing on principles costs too dam much, and since the end goal is to put him out of business, the lawyer fees will do that. Make the cake taste like crap, they complain, he refunds, and gays dont do business with him and leaves him alone.
Do you really thing the LGBT tormentors would let him off the hook if he sold them a crappy cake? They would find a dozen more ways to try to destroy him.
The LGBTQWERTY movement isn’t some libertarian thing where people just want their own space and be left alone. It is fully a creature of the totalitarian left. It insists that everyone bow to its whims and ideology. It tolerates no dissent or even nuance. It is Big Brother telling you exactly what to believe, say and do.
loser pays would kick their pervert a$$es.
I’m with you. Tort reform would stop most of this silly stuff.
Bingo post 8
You really think he will ever get rid of them fighting them? Their goal is to bake-rupt him. Sue him into financial ruin. No give them what they want with a money back guarentee if not satisfied, just tell them he wont pipe it with what they want said on it based on his 1st admendment rights. Tell them to take it to Walmart with what they want said. Make a sign that says “Managment reserves the right to decline decoration based on 1st Admendment rights! Don’t like it? I’ll whip out my 2nd Admendment right!”
Some form of modified loser pays would significantly reduce this perversion of our justice system.
For example, if a plaintiff were to sue simply to destroy a person or business on the basis of their religious beliefs, as in this case when 2, 3, 5, or 50 or more options are available, that plaintiff should pay at least 100% of both sides costs.
BAR Assoc. probably disagree as they make money on both sides; evil.
You really think that would solve the problem, huh?
Because he is not a whore.
Never knew making a cake made one a whore. Bible says to love everyone. Not to descriminate.
Since you did not understand I will make it a bit clearer.
A man comes up to a woman and asks "Would you have sex with me for a million dollars?" She says "yes!"
"Would you have sex with me for twenty five dollars?"
"Of course not! I am not a whore!"
"Yes you are. Now we are just negotiating your price."
He is not a whore. His values are not for sale at any price.
