Heavenly Father –

As we passed the celebration of Purim, may we reflect on Your Providence during evil days.

May we learn to trust You, Lord, by the lessons of Esther. Even when Your people were out of Your will, as they stayed in Persia instead of returning to the land, You were there with them. In the Shadows. Watching over Your own. And Your hand of Providence moved a queen and a king in a pagan court to deliver them.

During these 40 days of Lent, may we reflect on the 40 days of temptation of Christ in the wilderness. And we thank You, Father, for giving us a Savior and a High Priest, who understands our weaknesses.

We thank You, Father, for lifting up President Trump for such a time as this. In the midst of corruption and pagan world views like the time of Esther. And You have used this imperfect man, who reaches out to God’s people for prayer.

We lift up President Trump and Vice President Pence to Your protection. Grant them wisdom, courage, and strength. May the problems that vex us from the physical, such as the coronavirus, to the spiritual, lead us to repentance and back to God.

You, Lord, are Sovereign and will be glorified by the great works You have and will do for our people and our nation. And through the power of the Holy Spirit, make America great again, because our people put their trust in You.

God still hears you. Even though no words are formed, God looks at you and reads the language of your longing. At that moment, YOU are the prayer...

Lord, aside from protection from this virus, we pray that You would use this horrible situation to Your glory and that you would turn the hearts of many people towards You.

Please, give those of us who believe, opportunities to share our faith and the reason for the hope that is in us. Use this situation to bring about a revival in this country, a great turning to You as people begin to be confronted with reality and their own mortality.

Please continue to protect President Trump, Vice-President Pence, and all those righteous men and women whom You have put into positions of leadership in this country. Give them wisdom, discernment, and strength to make right and wise decisions.

Protect and provide for all medical personnel and first responders everywhere. They are literally laying their lives on the line every day, even in situations not as dire as this. Please provide an extra layer of protection for them.

And please, thwart the schemes and plans of the enemy and our enemies to destroy us.
