I REALLY hate what the RCC has done / is doing to thwart God’s plan for mankind.

You can't possibly mean this.

Most of the world would be defecating in its drinking water if the Catholic Church hadn't sent missionaries across the globe to teach people how to wear clothing and cultivate the land.

Gal 2:15,16

NIV
“We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.“”

NKJV
“ We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. ”

NLT
“ You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law. ”

BBE
“ We being Jews by birth, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Being conscious that a man does not get righteousness by the works of the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we had faith in Christ Jesus, so that we might get righteousness by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law will no flesh get righteousness. ”

ASV
“ We being Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. ”

HCSB
“ We who are Jews by birth and not “Gentile sinners” know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. And we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified. ”

This is one of those “which Bible do I choose?” And this Scripture is a GREAT example. Another example is 2 Tim. 2:15. What does your Bible say?

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

“Whoever believes” includes Saint Luther.

Does it include you ebb?

LOL

What are those people who died trusting what the RCC fed them doing NOW?

I’ll tell you: They’d LOVE to have the tips of their tongues wetted with such water!

That’s the Awana Key verse.

Over the years, I’ve memorized it in a few versions, including KJ.

I LOVE IT!

I've noticed a good portion of prot freepers post more on catholic threads than on their own caucused and devotional threads.

They have one thing in common, they all hate the Catholic Church but refuse to criticize each others' "churches".

"And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he that shall persevere unto the end, he shall be saved."
[Matthew 10:22]

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name's sake."
[Matthew 24:9]

And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake. But he that shall endure unto the end, he shall be saved."
[Mark 13:13]

And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake."
[Luke 21:17]

Me, too. “Rightly dividing” is rendered “correctly handling” in a lot of versions. The meaning of Rightly Dividing is to cut, as in with a sword, to dissect. “Correctly handling” doesn’t seem to project the same meaning.imo

Try to stay focused on the subject at hand.

It was the Catholic Church who sent missionaries abroad (often at risk to life and limb) to evangelize the world; this was done by the Catholic countries of France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy (think, Amerigo Vespucci and Christopher Columbus). The world as you know it would be non-existent without the efforts of the Catholic Church.

To make a remark as ignorant as the one you have demonstrates a real lack of knowledge of basic history.

It has to do with the Great Commission.

We have our differences, but generally, the differences do not mean one of us is going to hell.

My focus is on the lost, that is, those who are headed to hell because they believe lies.

So, whenever I see a thread that tells lies and is not marked private (you know what I mean), I consider adding some biblical perspective.

I thank God for those who are way more diligent than I.

Paul identified Catholicism ... an other religion, not the Gospel of God’s Grace in Christ Jesus. Don’t want to get the dead souls in Catholicism all upset so I won’t post the list of ‘necessary things’ found in that religion and pushed as essential to eventually get eternal life.

That gospel your Catholic missionaries and the entire RCC, since it’s inception, was “evangelizing the world” with is hardly something to take pride in. It’s a “form of godliness” yet so far from the truth of God’s word that even at this date, almost 2000 years since it decided it was the ONLY one worthy to speak for God and dare to claim His intents for mankind, they are now known as the Church that is run by the False Prophet, your pope.
Do you really want to tout the “virtues” of the RCC??

The Anti Modernist Oath was abolished by the Father of Vatican 2: Paul VI. You see it all goes back to Vatican 2.

"I never heard the Gospel in Catholicism - not once. Not ever."

Then you were wearing earplugs. The Bible is front and center at EVERY Mass, both Old and New Testaments. Catholics call it the "Liturgy of the Word". The Priest's sermon (Catholic term "Homily") is very often an in-depth discussion some facet of those Bible readings.

At EVERY MASS!

The Gospel Wheel

The center “hub” of the wheel- 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures that he was buried, that he was raised the third day according to the scriptures.

The top of the wheel- the character of GOD: Revelations 4:8b
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come. And...
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life

The bottom of the wheel- the character of MANKIND: Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God
And...
MAN: Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal Life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The left side of the wheel- God’ response is the CROSS: Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

The right side of the wheel- God’s desire for mankind’s response is our TRUST: Acts 16:31
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.

You can call it whatever you want but the Gospel IS NOT presented at every Mass.

Not even close.

I did hear ONE “Priest” give the Gospel - once. On TV in the mid-80s.

I left the “Holy Roman Catholic Church” after a series of homilies about — a budget shortfall in the diocese. Then, years later (in the mid-80s) someone showed me the Gospel for the first time in my life. Then I knew what was missing for those 30 years.
