I missed a midweek update when Jaxson went in for his Trach. But, He is doing really good and still making great progress. They are still talking about sending them back to Arizona as soon as next week and letting finish healing back here a little closer to home and his whole family!
Here is Katie's update from earlier today...
I don’t know how i got blessed with the most cuddly & lovable boy. We’re watching bunny videos and learning about them because he wants one when we get home so he can cuddle with it, but we might just have to stick to Brown Bunny for now though!
He has adjusted well to his new trach, it doesn’t seem to phase him much. Normally they would sedate & paralyze kids for the first 5 days while it heals because pulling it out would be an emergency as there’s potential they could lose his airway but as always Jaxson is protective of it and doesn’t touch it. Even when i go to lift him to change him, he points to it and says be careful mom. Monday they will change it and hopefully soon after they can put in a speaking valve. He mouths words/sentences right now, and i can almost always tell what he is saying but sometimes it’s difficult and he gets frustrated. Still hoping to be transferred home by this weekend

Soon you will be home, and maybe a little later, Brown Bunny can get a real bunny brother or sister.
But not one of each, because then there would be way too many bunnies!
