PRAYER:
Holy God of hope, you raised up John the baptizer that called us to conversion. We are filled with awe and joy as we wait the coming of Christ in all his majesty. Fill us with your Spirit to prepare the way for us to be ready to receive your message and serve loving you with all our hearts, soul, mind and strength.
We pray to you for the needs of our nation. .The very foundation of our government is under evil attack. Protect our country from both foreign and domestic attacks that strike at our rule of law to leave our people defenseless and in a state of chaos. .We ask for your Holy Spirit to protect President Trump, Vice President Pence and all those that serve in their administration from the ‘deep-state swamp’ of corruption created by individuals in elected and unelected political roles. These individuals sell their services to the highest bidder foreign and domestic to gain personal wealth and privilege. This agenda is to interrupt/ break the functioning of our Federal and State branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial. Restore the the rule of law and order to our legislative and judicial government systems. Our broadcast and print-media have become terrorist operations creating ‘false flags’ to distract, deceive, and disguise the truth from the American public.
We continue to pray supernatural wisdom, courage, resolve for President Trump and Vice President Pence to stand firmly in their governing roles of authority to which you have appointed them. Let them here your voice to guide them through the distraction of political noise. Give President Trump and Vice President Pence and their families physical, mental and spiritual protection. We also continue in prayer for United States Attorney General Barr to have clarity of purpose to bring all corrupt agencies and individuals to justice.
Protect our military and first responders that continue to put themselves in harm’s way to defend our nation. Continue to support the Trump administration construct the 450 miles goal of border to support national security and reinforce the difficult work of the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement [I.C.E.]. in securing the U.S. Border.
O Lord, hear our humble prayer to revive our national soul. Bring your enlightenment to our people to address and end the moral issues we face today: abortion, divorce, sexual confusion, pedophilia, and all other anti-social behavior. Free us from all fear and worry to have faith in your goodness.
We are amazed and thankful for the privilege to share the knowledge and confession of Jesus Christ of a personal Savior and Lord. We pray together in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen

“Back in 1932 I was 32 years old and a fairly new husband. My wife, Nettie and I were living in a little apartment on Chicago’s Southside. One hot August afternoon I had to go to St. Louis, where I was to be the featured soloist at a large revival meeting. I didn’t want to go. Nettie was in the last month of pregnancy with our first child. But a lot of people were expecting me in St. Louis. . . .
“. . . In the steaming St. Louis heat, the crowd called on me to sing again and again. When I finally sat down, a messenger boy ran up with a Western Union telegram. I ripped open the envelope. Pasted on the yellow sheet were the words: YOUR WIFE JUST DIED. . . .
“When I got back, I learned that Nettie had given birth to a boy. I swung between grief and joy. Yet that night, the baby died. I buried Nettie and our little boy together, in the same casket. Then I fell apart. For days I closeted myself. I felt that God had done me an injustice. I didn’t want to serve Him any more or write gospel songs. I just wanted to go back to that jazz world I once knew so well. . .
“But still I was lost in grief. Everyone was kind to me, especially a friend, Professor Frye, who seemed to know what I needed. On the following Saturday evening he took me up to Malone’s Poro College, a neighborhood music school. It was quiet; the late evening sun crept through the curtained windows. I sat down at the piano, and my hands began to browse over the keys.”
This led to the creation of the music and lyrics: “Precious Lord.”
