What Is Better, Catholic or Protestant? Francis: Both of Them Together
The Youth Pastoral Office of Magdeburg diocese, Germany, will organize an October 2020 ecumenical pilgrimage for young people to Rome.
The motto of the journey is With Luther to the Pope. A similar trip was already taken in 2016.
The pilgrimage is co-organized by the regional Protestant State church, although the Protestants repudiate pilgrimages.
On the trip's webpage Mit-Luther-zum-Papst.de, the tour operator, Hans Höffmann, remembers what Pope Francis said to the participants of the 2016 pilgrimage when asked by a youngster: "What is better, Catholic or Protestant? Francis answered in German: "Both of them together!
Martin Luther attended school in Magdeburg as a boy. As a preacher, he led the city to defect from the Church. Magdeburg became the first major city to publish Luthers writings.

“Christ” did not found any church, nor do the scriptures say he did.
He already had his Kehillah, (remnant) the expansion of which he he was explaining.

The Church Mary's Him forth: receives the Word, gestates the Word, brings Him forth into the world. She is the ultimate Aron Kodesh, the Ark of His presence, the Ark of God. Did He need that? He, Who needs nothing, willed to need it.Mrs. Don-o, you may find the article below interesting:

>> “If it has errors, it aint Scripture.” <<
According to Paul in his letter to the Romans, if it wasn’t given to Judah in his native tongue, it ain’t scripture.
Translations are representations of scripture, but they are not necessarily scripture.

What language did Abraham speak...was it the same Hebrew that Moses spoke nearly 500 years later? Japheth was still alive early in Abraham’s life, what pre-flood language did he speak? Or was it Hebrew? What language was Enoch using when God took him? Is the Holy Spirit just chopped liver that he can’t make truth alive in people’s hearts even if the only scripture they have is written in KJV and they never had a chance to learn Hebrew? Or Greek? What language do you suppose Paul used when preaching on Mars Hill? If he used Greek, was it still not God breathed?

"According to Paul in his letter to the Romans, if it wasnt given to Judah in his native tongue, it aint scripture." I don't recognize this as being from Romans. Could you please give me a chapter and verse?

Those arent rites those are denominations. Again for your information all the rites of the Catholic Church are CATHOLIC! The irony.
And you Catholics call everything not Catholic *Protestant*.
So we're all *Protestant* (In your book) so the *denominational* differences are not worse than the differences between the so0called rites of Catholicism.
FWIW, there are bigger differences between Rome and the Orthodox, who have been in schism for about 1,000 years now, than there are between many, if not most, *Protestant* denominations.
But Catholics LOVE the numbers game ( an alleged 1.2 billion) strong, and yet FRoman Catholics ex-communicate each other all the time and the division seen on many caucus threads about Francis lays to rest the fabrication of *being in communion*.

Still waiting for you to give a passage where Christ wanted to be held.

Such a Muslim idea you are putting forth as truth.

Catholicism is a religion of control freaks.
They just have to figure out some way to get their grasping little hands on ANYONE whether they like it or not and whether they want it or not.
So they will claim authority over anyone for any reason even one as weak as being baptized as CHRIST commanded.

The Word of God, Second Person of the Trinity, wanted to be Incarnate, wanted everything that goes with being born and living as a human. He was held in his mother's womb, then as a boy was often held by Mary and Joseph; His grandparents too, I suppose. He was a normal boy. Does that need a chapter and verse?
It's hard to imagine a baby even surviving, who did not want to be held.
Psalm 131:2
But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.

Well, sez you. Bu you still get the extra deluxe feature of becoming a Catholic in the incipient sense, automatically, and having your baptism considered a sacrament, at no extra cost, smells and bells optional. It's kinda like getting married. You automatically acquire bunch of inlaws, cousins and kin as "family" whether you actually wanted them or not. It's a package deal. We're family now, aMPU. We're stuck! RF guidelines prohibit me from stating what a ........what I think of your statement.
It is not worth the electrons used to post it. It's a complete fabrication and power grab and patently untrue.

Frankly, you often make up or assume things in your posts, and then pretend they are taught in scripture.
I thought you made it up!

RCs are very adapt at doing just that!

Jesus was addressing the use of religious titles for religious leaders.
There’s a world of difference between *John is my father* and the title of address of *Father John*.
But I realize that will never stop Catholics from seeking to justify disobeying Jesus clear, concise command to not use that word as a title.

I don't understand you, metmom. It seems the friendliest thing in the world, to say and believe with all my heart that we are family. Brothers and Sisters in Christ, remember?
This is to say: One Lord. One faith. One baptism. One God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
You believe that, don't you?
Not an offense. Not a trigger. Just an acknowledgement of the reality: of being one in Christ here and now, as we will be, blessedly, hereafter.

The one that issued Unam Sanctam or the Vatican II RCC?
OR have all of those official positions of Rome requiring all to be subject to the pope and be members of Rome's church been nullified?
That's quite a lot of change from the group that tells us they're doing everything the original disciples did.
