April 26, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) After evangelist Franklin Graham posted a series of tweets pointing out the incongruity of presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigiegs claim that he is a gay Christian, Fr. James Martin, S.J. weighed in to deflect Grahams rebuke.
The president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association had informed the South Bend mayor via Twitter that homosexuality is a sin, something to be repentant of, not something to be flaunted.
The pro-LGBT Jesuit didnt like that.
Being gay isnt a sin, began Fr. Martins tweet, contradicting Rev. Graham. Its the way that God made some people.
Yet engaging in homosexuality most certainly is a sin, and God does not make people gay.
Over the last few years, Fr. Martin has made it his goal to change the teachings of the Catholic Church in order to normalize homosexuality and transgenderism. His scolding of Rev. Graham is unfounded, as it brazenly defies Catholic Church teaching.

Jes·u·it·i·cal
ADJECTIVE
of or concerning the Jesuits.
dissembling or equivocating, in the manner associated with Jesuits.
Doesn’t make them acceptable. And doesn’t give them license to therefore be perverted. I will NEVER vote for a homosexual as president, I don’t care the party, I don’t care the issues.
Show me that in the Bible.
There is no such thing as a “gay Christian.” I Cor. 6:9-10
he can blame his homosexual tendencies on God, if he wishes
(I still think most of that sort of thing is acquired not inherited, but okay....)
he can blame part of his homox tendencies on God
but he cannot blame God for his homosexual behavior, conduct
that’s a person’s free will choice, period, end of file.
God also made mosquitos and kids with birth defects also.
And Mr. Martin, go tell St. Paul that practicing homosexuality is not a sin.
WRONG
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; . .” 2 Timothy 4:3
Everyone has thorns of the flesh of some kind
IMHO, It is the battle against them that begins teaching spiritual warfare.
How can we learn to battle Princes And Principalities
Until we have faced our own personal daemons?
We must slay the dragons within before we can face those without.
Surrendering to the Thorns of the Flesh profoundly weakens us.
There is no honor in an alcoholic falling into a drunken stupor
There is no honor in a pedophile accosting a child
There is no honor in failing in battle against any deadly sin
Honoring the thorns, or worse, being proud of them, is a horrible error
An even greater error is to teach others that is
good, wise, and to be commended to fall
I’ll side with Evangelist Franklin Graham on this one.
Fr. Martin Defends Pete Buttigieg: Gay Is The Way God Made Some People
—
BS.
Did God also make people pedophiles? Did he make them murderers?
You could use that to excuse ANY moral deficiency or psychological miswiring.
That’s a damn lie, God made only 2 people, male and female.
There is some basis for assuming alcoholism is encoded on the genes. I had a relative who was a thirty-five year recovering alcoholic. He had to fight every day to overcome by God’s Grace what his BODY told him was good, and by faith follow what God told him was good. And you know, even though it was possible that God “made him that way”, I never once said “You know, you can’t help it! God MADE You a drunk! I affirm your life choice for yourself! Here, let me buy you a beer!”
:)
Me too and I would add I’ll stand with the Apostle Paul who made it abundantly clear in Romans chapter 1 that the abomination of homosexuality was given to men/women who refused to serve God and instead chose to worship their own selves and their selfish desires.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
So Fr. Martin . . . does He also make some people Fundamentalist or geocentrist? Or do you suddenly become a crusader against those particular “falsehoods?”
Sin comes in many forms and we are all born into sin.
Yep!...always!
Some people are doing something.
