April 26, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — After evangelist Franklin Graham posted a series of tweets pointing out the incongruity of presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s claim that he is a “gay Christian,” Fr. James Martin, S.J. weighed in to deflect Graham’s rebuke.
The president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association had informed the South Bend mayor via Twitter that homosexuality is a “sin, something to be repentant of, not something to be flaunted.”
The pro-LGBT Jesuit didn’t like that.
“Being gay isn’t a sin,” began Fr. Martin’s tweet, contradicting Rev. Graham. “It’s the way that God made some people.”
Yet engaging in homosexuality most certainly is a sin, and God does not “make people gay.”
Over the last few years, Fr. Martin has made it his goal to change the teachings of the Catholic Church in order to normalize homosexuality and transgenderism. His scolding of Rev. Graham is unfounded, as it brazenly defies Catholic Church teaching.

God does not make anything other than the perfectly good. God allows less than that because of the arrogance and disobedience on the part of Adam and Eve. It is our task to overcome those results.
Our very DNA is corrupted by sin. That is NOT the way God made us iris the way we have become through our sinful nature. I’m not saying homosexuality is genetic I rather doubt it is. However even if it is it is something to be fought and conquered not something to be celebrated! Can you imagine a diabetic saying diabetes is normal and should be embraced and celebrated not treated?
In the Bible, which should be the basis for the Jesuit’s decisions, it clearly states God made man and woman. In multiple places the Bible declares homosexuality and all forms of sexual perversion to be sin. God wants us to love the sinner, not condone the sin. Franklin Graham is correct. The Jesuit is not. Franklin Graham bases his decision making on God’s Word. The Jesuit apparently does not.
Fr. Martin needs a stake, some kindling and an accelerant.

God doesn’t make people gay... no more than he makes them rapists or murderers.
Free will, you engage in actions. You choose to do so..
If you claim you are something just because you have a urge that got made you some way then you have no free will.
This entire argument is garbage.
Having urges does not equate to acting on them. If having urges means you are made something by god then every rapist is a rapist because god made them that way. It’s a stupid idiotic argument that denies the very fundamental tenant of free will.

We all know the story of the hatchling that imprints on the first creature it sees. Gays are emotionally disturbed individuals who imprint on a dominant mother, at the same time rejecting a flawed or ineffective father. That's why they are usually the first child of a troubled relationship or the last child of older parents who have experienced a change in the dynamics of their relationship to then fit the pattern. It's not rocket science and many gays admit their parents fit the profile. My own uncle fits the pattern.

Gay isn't anything more than lazy stupidity.
If people turn homosexual because they were abused as kids, or the mother took too much estrogen, or they were born with chromosome damage, it still means you need to live a moral, celibate lifestyle. We all have demons to battle.
