Heavenly Father –

As the 116th congress starts up, especially the House, the enemy seems emboldened. Opposing what’s good. Advancing what’s evil. Ignoring what promotes the health and well-being of our nation.

Yet, Lord, You’re our resource on what to do during evil days:

As the Year of our Lord, 2019, begins, may we put our confidence in You. Not in men. Not in women. Regardless of hollow virtue signaling. Regardless of claims of “wokeness.”

Any age. Any time. You are the Sovereign of the universe. Your purpose for all creation will not be thwarted, as You’ve decreed:

May we take comfort in that and trust Your plan.

For 2019, we lift up President Trump and Vice President Pence. Fill them with Your Spirit and with Your Wisdom. Grant them courage, discernment, and strength as they’re relentlessly attacked and taxed on all fronts—emotionally, physically, spiritually.

Protect our brave men and women at our borders. Equip them to protect our country. Frustrate the hypocrites who subvert our immigration process as a power grab to the long-term detriment of our people.

Thwart the political machinations of those who hate You, Lord. Expose hidden agendas of the Deep State, the Liberal Press, the godless in government and bureaucracy, and godless messages promoted in entertainment and pop culture.

Shine Your Light to expose secret sins and hypocrisy. And through the power of Your Spirit, may God’s people be revived and ignite another Great Awakening among We, the People.
