Those are righteous attributes.

And for those who don’t have those attributes: remember what Amalek did to us.

(((Can you ask me a difficult question for once?)))

Are the Internet reported scandals about Tovia true?

Not really wanting to get into an argument on the Lord’s Day, but I have always found it a curious idea that Jesus came into the world and did His work and that lasted until the apostles died, and then it all went to hell in a handbasket until someone centures later —Mohammed, some Protestants, the Mormons, various sects and cults — discovered and restored the true teachings of Jesus and reversed all the errors of the church. One time years ago I had a Hare Khrishna tell me he had the true teachings of Jesus. Everyone gets it but the church. CHRISTOS ANESTI!

No, it did not all go to hell in a handbasket, but Catholic distinctives are not what is manifest in the only wholly inspired record of what the NT church believed (including how they understood the gospels).

Even earlier. Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 41: 8 But you, Israel My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham, who loved Me,

There is a third party here, who makes reconciliation for Israel, and the latter is never an unblemished sin offering for the world, but is the one in need of atonement, hence Lev. 16. .

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him ; and with his stripes we are healed...for the transgression of my people was he stricken. (Isaiah 53:5.8)

First, thank you for your service. Had a few family members in USAF and although people make it sound like a cakewalk, I know it’s not. I recently had the honor of meeting one of — if not THE — greatest pilots. He volunteered to fly the Jews from Yemen to Israel. Great man. Takes something really special in a person to risk his life for other people.

Unlike religions, we Jews don’t believe we’re the only ones receiving divine reward.

R. Singer is a tzaddik. The menschkeit this man possesses is unparalleled. All day long, he gets the same basic questions asked by people trying to trip him up, and he always manages to quickly find some tidbit to make every answer unique to the person asking the question.

One who practices intense emunah can do what he does where he does it. HaShem protects him so well for the mitzvot he routinely does.

We have a saying that might apply to your question: falsehood has no legs.

Unfortunately, there are many women in the story with names. I know what men of all religious professions are capable of with vulnerable women and easy money. Is it true that he is twice divorced?

I take issue with this. Holiness and purity are required. When I think of a tzaddik or menschkeit, I think of Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg, the beloved directors of Chabad of Mumbai, and not Tovia Singer.

I think you stand toe to toe by simply stating that we need to agree to disagree. You remind him of Gamaliel’s(who really existed) admonition for the Jews to leave the Christians alone for if the thing they preached was of God, it would continue and if not, it would fall apart.

Also remind him that an atheistic logistician would scoff at both him and you who would remind you both that in terms of logical tautology, both of you are arguing over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. A Christian is made so by the work of the Spirit and ours is a new covenant not based at Mt Sinai but Mount Zion. Malachi 4 even prophesied this and Hebrews 6-12 enlightens further. The Rabbi can only argue from the priest hood traditions of Aaron and Hur. We are of Melchizidek, of which Christ is the chief priest!

Hence there is no meeting place where arguments can be reconciled or either side convinced. The Rabbi is schooled into the language of the texts but only understands them in the contexts of the traditions of the Jews. However...even not knowing all the Bible, you know the truth...like the blind man you can say with confidence...”All I know is once I was blind but now I see, I once was dead in my sins and now I have hope in everlasting life!” You see even the Rabbi can not give a ready answer to your own personal experience with Christ.

Even the devil knows scripture.... better than the rabbi!

Ooops! 1 Cor. 3:16 refers to the local assembly of believers, figuratively the Body of Christ. "Know ye2nd person plural not that ye are2nd person plural God's temple(anarthrous, noun, predicate nominative case, singular, masculine gender), and The God's Holy Spirit dwelleth in you(personal pronoun, dative case, 2nd person plural)?"

God is omnipresent. Not only does the Spirit indwell the individual (who is only a building block, a member of the local Body of Christ, the ekklesia, the church), but He dwells without the individual living stone, cementing the stones/members together in a functional whole spiritual building. No individual is alone a/the temple of the Holy Ghost. Therefore,

"If any man defile the temple(articulated) of The God, him shall The God destroy; . . . "

Remember Achan (Josh. 7) who in disobeying a very specific command of God, defiled not only himself, but the whole congregation of the nation Israel, forfeiting not only his own life, but those of his family who doubtlessly knew of his sin, but failed to discipline him or report it to the whole congregation to judge and deal with. Continuing,

". . . for the temple(articulated) of The God is holy, which temple ye yourselves are(both verb form and pronoun are 2nd person plural)."

It is not grammatically possible here that any single individual is ny him/herself a temple of the Holy Spirit. This is often preached so, but is not exegetically correct.

The same principle produces the same result when applied to 1 Cor. 6:19,20. The local Temple addressed here, the you(all)" is the whole body of believers that consist the Corinthian church. The "we" in the text is those persons from whom the letter is sent.

Divorce is permitted in Judaism. Seems like you have issue with Orthodox rabbis, or maybe don’t believe in Divine reward and punishment as I do? That’s okay, you’re entitled to your opinions — just don’t ask me to justify them.

In John 2:16-20 The Jews had in mind in plain literal terms His Father's House, which He and they reckoned to be the Temple of stones; but in those verses He had in mind in plain literal terms His Own body of flesh and bone, a visible tabernacle wherein met His Soul ans Spirit. Though His disciples came to recognize this conundrum when God raised His body from the state of total inactivity, it was only later that they grasped the metaphorical figurative-literal concept of the local believers assembled in His Name who exist as a unified Living Temple built of living human "stones," whose solidity was/is conferred by the spiritual truth, "Thou art The Christ, the Son of The Living God."

The first unification of such a figurative-literal building occurred on the morning of the first Pentecost feast-day following the Resurrection day of His plain-literal human tabernacle of flesh and bone in which His Soul and Spirit was again resident and alloyed with.

We are, as regenerate individuals, external to His plain-literal body, which is a bit different from the picture presented in Post 37.

Hey, I think..you have mistaken me for someone else. From what I see among my records there is nothing that warrants that response.

The faith once delivered to Israel by the instrumentality of Moses frequently had to be restored, because it is human nature to corrupt divine revelation. So there should be nothing surprising about restoration movements. It is the whole pattern of divine revelation. The faithful dwindle till almost extinct, till pnly an obscure remnant remains, then God sends a restoration. And yes, of course the enemy tries to plant false restorations. Thats why in the past, restoration has always come back to the original revelation, digging the old scrolls out of the closet in the temple and reading the words God inspired until it broke hearts and brought sinners to repentance snd renewal. Its how God does this, and always has.

A chapter break was made at Chapter 53 because there is a change in voice. The nations of the world are speakers and the Jewish people is the servant that has suffered.
