“Wait, was Jesus a Pascal offering or a sin offering?”
It’s amazing how accidentally dropping one “h” changes the meaning of an entire question.
One day I hope I can call the Rabbi my brother, but so long as he remains blinded by God from seeing and understanding what he has clearly memorized, I cannot.
The irony is that the Christian is as “blinded” as the Jew who is his brother...cousin actually. Here are some Red Letter words, straight from Jesus...go figure.
John 5:24 King James Version (KJV)
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
“There is NO CHURCH gate.”
Because Jesus IS the gate to the Church.
A better question to ask is, why is no Temple in Heaven? Revelation 21:22
Why did God 'choose' Jacob/Israel in the first place? What did Abraham do that God planted him on this earth when He did? History did not begin in the Garden of Eden... The 'flesh' planting of the Adam began the genealogy of the blood line to Christ. There is cause/reason why these people were chosen. The 'Old Testament' is the history of the bloodline to Christ and all those they came in contact.
Paul says ICorinthians 10: 11Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
The 'Old Testament' is our script for what to expect to bring the close of this 'flesh' age. That would mean there is a specific number of souls already created, and when the last willing 'soul' takes this flesh journey then 'end' of this age comes about.
Not really wanting to get into an argument on the Lord’s Day, but I have always found it a curious idea that Jesus came into the world and did His work and that lasted until the apostles died, and then it all went to hell in a handbasket until someone centures later —Mohammed, some Protestants, the Mormons, various sects and cults — discovered and restored the true teachings of Jesus and reversed all the errors of the church. One time years ago I had a Hare Khrishna tell me he had the true teachings of Jesus. Everyone gets it but the church.
CHRISTOS ANESTI!
Matthew 24:
1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

One atones, in part, for inadvertent sins, one is an extra offering the day before Passover began.
Attacks? I don't know any of the people in the video, but all I saw was a girl asked a question, and the guy in front answered it. Did the girl not raise her hand first?
14. As many were astonished at you; saying His appearance is too marred (ruined, corrupted) to be that of a man, and his forms (outline, description) to be that of the sons of men:
15. So shall he startle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths at him; for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they perceive:
Who is the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53?
Obviously the one nobody's going to recognize, identify.
53.1. Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed..
I have studied for years but have never quite understood all of the offerings and their specific purpose. What you said still is “foggy” to me. The Last Supper marked the beginning of Passover...which was a Tuesday night actually. Was there a sacrifice offered Tuesday? The lambs were slain on Wednesday at 3pm the same time Yahshua was crucified. His death made atonement for all sin...individually and corporately. Although there were two sacrifices on Yom Kippur. The first goat whose blood was placed on the Holy of Holies was for individual sins, the second goat, the scapegoat Azael was for the corporate sins of Israel. Are these symbolic of the two sacrifices you are talking about? Please help me to understand.
The Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 is a prophecy of NO ONE else but the Messiah. By HIS stripes we are healed. Our iniquity has been placed on Him and he bears our sin for us. He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
ok...why is there no Temple in heaven?
Because we and Jesus (John 2:22) now share the Temple inside us through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). In Heaven, we will have perfected bodies and glorified souls. We will not need the physical as we do now.
8 But you, Israel My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham, who loved Me,
9 Whom I grasped from the ends of the earth, and from its nobles I called you, and I said to you, "You are My servant"; I chose you and I did not despise you.
10 Do not fear for I am with you; be not discouraged for I am your God: I encouraged you, I also helped you, I also supported you with My righteous hand.
11 Behold all those incensed against you shall be ashamed and confounded; those who quarreled with you shall be as nought and be lost.
12 You may seek them but not find them, those who quarrel with you; those who war with you shall be as nought and as nothing.
I tried finding a chart for you (from a Jewish orthodox source...) Can’t find it online but if you walk into your local neighborhood Chabad House (google it) you’ll find it in here:
But my point is, you state Jesus was crucified at the time of the pascal sacrifices. That is to equate him with a pascal sacrifice, correct? The challenge is, that sacrifice does not atone for sin. You wrote about the Yom Kippur sacrifices, but it wasn’t on Yom Kippur— So from that perspective, he couldn’t have atoned for general sins of the world, etc.... (Jewish perspective.... but if you would say the Law contains Jesus, well there’s the Law, and it doesn’t square the round peg. No atonement.)
The Christians and Catholics I know hid our family members from the Nazis, fought alongside American Jews in every single war America was involved in, worked with us, donated money to Israel and Jewish organizations, and appreciate everything we contribute to this country and the world.
