An event proclaiming freedom of all kinds of sexual identity issues is set to occur this weekend in Washington, D.C., spearheaded by a man who identified as a gay and transgender for approximately 15 years. Several former LGBTQ speakers from a variety of backgrounds will be sharing their stories of how they encountered the living God.
Jeffrey McCall is the main organizer of what is being called The Freedom March, and in an interview with The Christian Post Wednesday, explained that despite constant talk in society about the perils of gay "conversion therapy," the March is centered on how the Holy Spirit has transformed the lives of countless people and their journeys of newness of life in Christ. And, he argued, a great shift in how things are done in the modern Church is currently underway, particularly as it relates to how Christians minister to the LGBTQ community.
McCall, 30, is from Franklin Springs, Georgia. He lived and identified as a homosexual man from ages 15 to 27, and as a transgender woman named "Scarlet" from ages 27 to 29.
The Freedom March will showcase the stories of people who lived and identified as lesbians, gay men, bisexual, transgender, and queer including two survivors of the June 2016 Pulse nightclub mass shooting in Orlando for many years but now have found a new life in Jesus Christ.
McCall first got the idea to do the event last fall and obtained the permit earlier this year, feeling called to do it in the nation's capital. The Freedom March will be held at the National Sylvan Theater near the Washington monument on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.
The Christian Post spoke with McCall as he was traveling north from Georgia for this weekend's event,

We should all pray that he remains true to his renewed wholeness and holiness. The devils are no doubt preparing meathooks to drag him down again.
Pray!
Those who say homosexuality is inborn and therefore immutable make their sin out to be bigger than the Lord.
But real repentance needs admitting the God is way bigger than anything else, even the strongholds the enemy has set up in the mind.
The world hates the suggestion that there is something to repent of, but I suspect those who want to be justified in their sins really, really hate the truth that they can in fact repent, that they can be a “such were you” as Paul indicated.
The amazing gospel of the grace of Christ.
He takes the worst of us and sets us on high with himself, having received unearned, unmerited favor and righteousness because of Jesus’ finished and perfect work on the cross.
We will forever rejoice and thank him throughout all eternity which will take that long for God to show us the riches of his great grace in his kindness towards us from the best of us to the worst of us (Eph. 2:7-9).
Amen!
Amen!
I imagine that the real danger in terms of demonic tactical moves is tares who say they’re Christian who may come along now, probably in numbers, to say things like: “whoa, there, don’t you know God is okay with how he made you? No need to get all orthodox in your views! Be reasonable...”
If God can save me then He can save anyone.
Over the years people in forums have sarcastically spouted off how special I must think myself to be saved but I tend to reply it’s Christ who is special, not me.
Though I have on occasion had to resist replying in kind, snarkily, that it is they who must be so special for Christ died and rose for them too and they feel they’ve the privilege to reject the gift offered just because ... and that the redeemed are actually the ones who realize that they aren’t so special. But knowing that they reject even the first principal in that, that He is the one who did in fact go to the cross for us, it seems like it would not just fall on deaf ears but might help harden them even more. So I don’t.
The Holy Spirit is on the move to set the captives free! What a great testimony. Praying that the March tomorrow will bring glory to God and safety to His people.
Exactly. About twenty years ago, Christian pro-lifers were celebrating a gay abortionist who had accepted Christ and renounced homosexuality and performing abortions.
It did not take for very long.
Give the man a chance to settle into his new life - years - before bringing him into the spotlight. And pray.
Even if (and it’s a big “if”) homosexuality in inborn, this is proof that Christ is powerful enough to overcome it.
As if there was ever any doubt ...
Two queers living together. No story here.
I don’t believe LGTB is an identity. It is a reaction to some kind of terrible abuse an individual went through....or in some cases it’s a liberal trying to be cool.
It’s a shame that ex-gay stories are being relegated to the spot currently occupied by such things as crystals, transcendental meditation and alien abductions.
Pastor Wale Maye (Touch of Love Bible Church) basically put it this way in one of his programs: God loves us so much that he even left us the choice of remaining separate from Him forever. However, the place you go to do that is Hell.
i am so confused now... was he a gay man that became a woman prostitute for gay men, or i am confused... less confused than he/she was, but confused just the same.
1 Corinthians 6:11
Amen!
I am very happy for this young man. Prayers are being answered. Thank you Jesus!
RE: Former Transwoman
The other question I am interested in is this, did he have a sex-change operation? If he did, what now?
Do we have a medical procedure to re-attached what was taken away?
