OKLAHOMA CITY, April 3, 2018 /Christian Newswire/ -- "The level of hatred and bullying is not like anything we've seen," says Stephen Black, who lived as a gay man for 8 years, over 35 years ago, and now Executive Director of First Stone Ministries is in the crosshairs of gay activists.

Black is the author of a ground-breaking book that reveals that 70-percent of people who want freedom from a destructive same-sex lifestyle find it. In Freedom Realized Black and his colleagues examined 25 years of case files and found incontrovertible evidence that people can and do change.

On April 6, First Stone Ministries (firststone.org) is hosting a public screening of the documentary film, Tranzformed: Finding Peace with Your God-Given Gender (tranzformed.org/). "This documentary is about 15 people who were unhappy as homosexuals and transgendered and wanted more in their relationship with Jesus Christ," says Black. Gay activists have already sent death threats to a Michigan pastor and his family and are now setting their sights on Black.

Gay advocate and protestor, Sara Cunningham, vowed to close First Stone Ministries (she appealed for a $25,000 grant from Starbucks for her mission). Her goal is to mobilize and eliminate any mention of the possibility of change, even if people want it and even if it means a transformed life. "To agree to disagree on this issue and this type of ministry is no longer acceptable," says Cunningham. But Black sees it differently, "In the last ten years, there has been an increasing attack on the gospel-centered message of freedom from homosexuality." A few years ago I read an article about a man who had been convinced that he was "gay" when he was an early teen. He was the artistic, nerd type and that meant that he must be homosexual right? He was seduced by an adult male and thought that it must have because he gave off a "gay" vibe.

Although he had several "relationships" he always felt something was missing in his life. In his late twenties he realized what it was. He wanted a family. Wife, kids the whole package.

He decided to move far away where no one knew him or about his lifestyle. Then he started dating women. He kissed a girl and he liked it. After a year or so he found the wife he wanted and got married. They now have a couple of kids.

He said that having a relationship with a woman was a lot more work because it was more intimate and sometimes he had to work out what his wife wanted rather then just knowing. He said that sometimes he missed the days of casual sex but found that the rewards outweighed the negatives.

After I read it I wondered just how many young men have followed that same path but never knew there was a way out.

My sister knows several gays and says that they all hate being gay.

There is no genetic test or procedure (experimental or otherwise) that can determine one’s sexual orientation. When people claim to be gay and we believe them, what we’re really doing is taking them at their word. We believe their claim, we believe their testimony and we believe their declaration that they are gay.

But there are some people who are suddenly skeptical when one claims to be ex-gay. They don’t believe the ex-gay claim, they don’t believe the ex-gay testimony nor their declaration that they are ex-gay.

When somebody uses a certain standard to measure the credibility of what one group says, but then refuses to use the same standard to measure the credibility of what another group says—thereby ignoring the claims of the second group (ex-gays)—he should ask himself why he believes one group and not the other... This is a double standard.

Last week in Youngstown Ohio I saw the local news while passing through and it indicated an event was being held in the basement of St Johns Episcopal Church where LGBT people can come and there will be people there to assist them in changing their name to suit their desired gender.
