Catholics are often unaware just how biblical the Sacred Liturgy is. The design of our traditional churches; the use of candles, incense, and golden vessels; the postures of standing and kneeling; the altar; the singing of hymns; priests wearing albs and so forth are all depicted in the Scriptures. Some of these details were features of the ancient Jewish Temple, but most are reiterated in the Book of Revelation, which describes the liturgy of Heaven.
The liturgy here on earth is modeled after the liturgy in Heaven; that is why it is so serious to tamper with it. The Book of Revelation describes the heavenly liturgy and focuses on a scroll or book that contains the meaning of life and the answers to all we seek. It also focuses on the Lamb of God, standing but with the marks of slaughter upon it. Does this not sound familiar? It is the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
We do well to be aware of the biblical roots of the Sacred Liturgy. Many people consider our rituals to be empty and vain, smells and bells. Some think austere liturgical environments devoid of much ritual are purer and closer to the worship in spirit and in truth that Jesus spoke of in John 4.
To such criticisms we must insist that our rituals, properly understood, are mystical and deeply biblical. Further, they are elements of the heavenly liturgy since almost all of them are mentioned as aspects of the worship or liturgy that takes place in Heaven. In this light, it is a serious mistake to set them aside or have a dismissive attitude toward them.
With that in mind we ought to consider the biblical references to the most common elements of Catholic and Orthodox liturgies. I have added my own occasional note in red.

Here is an awesome video with wonderful quotes:

That is Satan’s laugh at those that think the man made church can replace Yeshua’s Kehillah!
.
You’re full of baloney and the false teachings of Michael Rood.
Scripture does not support your claim.
And your say so is not authoritative.
And old guy who plays dress up as a wannabe rabbi is a kook, not a follower of the God in heaven but rather a follower of the god of this world who has deceived him.
.
Your neener, neener, neener, assertions would be laughable were it not for what you do to your own eternity.
Sad!

Yes we have been told that. I was told that, when I was in the OTC. Since there were only two priests in the parish, and hundreds of OTC members, it was impossible to get a priest to interpret for me. Maybe that was by design. I am not sure.
At any rate, when I got older, I became a totally rebellious dude, and I thought I am going to read the Bible, no matter what anyone says. Was I rebellious or what? 😆 I chose Heaven. I dont know why, that when most people are told the truth, they reject it, and go about seeking to establish their own righteousness, thereby choosing Hell. Not good I would say, considering that all our wonderful works, are nothing but filthy rags in Gods sight. My wifes family is a classic example. They have been told the truth, and every single, solitary one of them has rejected it. There is now, only a certain fearful looking for judgement. Does anyone actually think that God is going to let filthy rags into Heaven? Its an IRONCLAD guarantee that He will not. So, anyone who thinks he can do good works to reach Heaven, is going to take the Lake of Fire plunge. Its the ugly truth. 😁🇵🇭
1st Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. Once I left the OTC, and became born anew from above, I was amazed at the total and complete spiritual blindness I had previously.
Jesus had His harshest words and condemnation for the most religiously educated elite. And He used uneducated fishermen and rabble rousers to turn the world on its ear.
He did indeed trash talk the religious elites (Pharisees) but they had it coming. It was amazing. The demons knew exactly who Jesus was, but the so called people in the know (Pharisees) were utterly clueless as to who Jesus is.
I was never a rabble rouser or a fisherman, but while I was in the OTC, I certainly had a reprobate mind. Things are different now.
I am a high school graduate, with no college, and no seminary training. I dont know Greek or Hebrew. I only know English. My wife is still working on her high school diploma. She speaks 3 languages. 🇵🇭 She looks at the English Bible, and her two native language Bibles, and tells me they all say the exact same thing. So, not to toot our own horns, cuz we are NOT into that, but as uneducated as we are, we still have more spiritual understanding than the Pharisees did, including modern day Pharisees. 😇
25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, Rabbi, when did you get here?
26 Jesus answered, Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
28 Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires?
29 Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.
30 So they asked him, What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.[c]
32 Jesus said to them, Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
34 Sir, they said, always give us this bread.
35 Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Fathers will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
Can CAtholics REALLY do this??
Looks more like a red herring.
They had a crummy running game.
Well; you see; there is not much Mormon doctrine to be found in the Book of Mormon - the book they try to foist upon the unsuspecting - the one full of KJV verses.
The Good Stuff is found in the Doctrines & Covenants.
And there is a bit more in The Pearl of Great Price.
The first recorded 'letter' of the Catholic church. (according to Rome)
Acts 15
The Council at Jerusalem
1 Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: "Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved." 2 This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question. 3 The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had been converted. This news made all the believers very glad. 4 When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and elders, to whom they reported everything God had done through them.5 Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, "The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to keep the law of Moses."
6 The apostles and elders met to consider this question. 7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. 8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. 9 He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. 10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? 11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are."
12 The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them. 13 When they finished, James spoke up. "Brothers," he said, "listen to me. 14 Simon has described to us how God first intervened to choose a people for his name from the Gentiles. 15 The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written:
16 "'After this I will return
and rebuild David's fallen tent.
Its ruins I will rebuild,
and I will restore it,
17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
even all the Gentiles who bear my name,
says the Lord, who does these things'
18 things known from long ago.19 "It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. 21 For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath."
The Council's Letter to Gentile Believers
22 Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers. 23 With them they sent the following letter:The apostles and elders, your brothers,
To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:
Greetings.
24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. 25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.
Farewell.
30 So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter. 31 The people read it and were glad for its encouraging message. 32 Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the believers. 33 After spending some time there, they were sent off by the believers with the blessing of peace to return to those who had sent them. [34] 35 But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, where they and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord.
Disagreement Between Paul and Barnabas
36 Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing." 37 Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, 38 but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. 39 They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, 40 but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the believers to the grace of the Lord. 41 He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
I don't think one would be enough; considering that Catholics say DECADES of them!
What does it take to 'endure'?
Can CAtholics REALLY do this??
When I was a member of the OTC, I was told, no, we cannot do it without a priest. Later, I developed a rebellious streak, about 9 miles wide, and just did it anyway. Was I a bad dude for doing that? 😁😁😂
“...religion practiced by the Pharisees...”
I don’t believe the church at worship is Pharisaical, but I strongly believe church governance of all mainline churches, Protestant and Roman Catholic, are just as bad as were the church of the Pharisees as Jesus knew them.
.
I also love that in the new LCMS hymnal, they have placed scripture citations all throughout all the services.
For anyone else interested, you can find the Lutheran liturgies in this excerpt from the hymnal:
