Thinking metaphysically, I wonder in what ways a woman, Mary, who immaculately conceived and brought baby Jesus into this world, was changed by her pregnancy.
I can't get my head around it. I mean, there's Luke 8:48 and miracles galore, but then there's Mary.
That she was chosen to be the mother of Jesus, the Mother of God, or perhaps more specifically, the Mother of the Son of God, tells me she was unique among woman and all of humanity.
The NT is about Jesus, of course, not Mary, but that doesn't mean that Mary isn't busy now doing what Her Son wants Her to do. Why wouldn't she be?
So many people think that people in heaven are doorsteps. They know and care nothing about us, do not pray for us, do nothing.
Of course, they have a number proof-texts, ripped out of context, misused in the way typical of propagandists. Applying them to an issue that the author did not even have in mind.
When all else fails, they repeat over and over that dead people are “dead.” That’s right, they say that the blessed in heaven are not alive at all.
'Tis a good thing you clarified the MoG thing; else I'd have to post...
That she was chosen to be the GRANDmother of Jesus, the GrandMother of God, or perhaps more specifically,
the GRANDMother of the Son of God, tells me she; too; was unique among woman and all of humanity.
Let’s not leave out Joachim; Jesus’ Grandpa.
HE must have been a fairly unique fella himself.
And just what might JESUS be wanting her to do?
If we are gonna play these geussing games; let's get specific.
I often wonder whether Mary gets a coffee break.
