Francis is more interested in leftwing politics than in Catholic theology, George Neumayr, contributing editor of The American Spectator, states talking to Tom Woods on July 14th on tomwoods.com. Woods describes Francis as a result of John Paul II who - as he puts it - appointed "absolutely terrible people" as bishops: "Catholics have suffered under Bergoglios for decades now.
Neumayr agrees that a lot of the liberal bishops were appointed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. He sees Francis as the culmination of a century of liberalism and modernism in the Church.
For him it is "highly unlikely" that Francis, who in his theology is more a Protestant than a Catholic will convert to Catholicism. Instead, the realistic scenario is that Francis will produce division and chaos, "Catholics will have to decide whether they guard the faith over papolatry.
And: The Cardinals have to declare that Francis is a bad pope who must be resisted.

Since the authority of retaining sin occurs within Confession, which is under the seal, their can be no public evidence. But I can say that the priests today exercise this authority just as it was clearly given in the Bible.HMMMmmm... is there PRIVATE evidence?
Has any priest you've ever had contact with said, privately to you, "I just retained Joe Blow's sins."?
The other alternate is that your OWN sins have been 'retained'.
So; which is it?

But if you do not want to study them then what can I say? I've 'studied' the text book that Rome has prepared for it's students.
I'v e not yet found the lesson taught in 1857 - 1859.
I have; however; found THIS in the Book:
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Rome teaches this is NOT true; for it claims that the woman who bore Christ was SINLESS; while she; herself; made sin offerings.
Luke 2:22-24
When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord), and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: a pair of doves or two young pigeons.
Leviticus 12:7-8
Then he shall offer it before the LORD and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the flow of her blood. This is the law for her who bears a child, whether a male or a female.
'But if she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be clean.'"
Sinless Mary??
Not according to Rome's Book;
1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin,
we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
That's the way it is WRITTEN.
THIS is the way it is TAUGHT:
1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin,
we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us
; the only exception being Mary, Mother of GOD, of course.
Rome has made IT's 'Mary' into a HYPOCRIT, by painting her as SINLESS, yet writing of her going into the temple to make a SIN offering.

... the only exception being Mary, Mother of GOD, of course. Romans 5:12 Douay-Rheims Bible
Wherefore as by one man sin entered into this world, and by sin death; and so death passed upon all men, in whom all have sinned.
Except Mary...

You guys like James; right? He also wrote:
James 2:10 Douay-Rheims Bible
And whosoever shall keep the whole law, but offend in one point, is become guilty of all.

Context is your friend. Then why didn't you POST it in context to begin with?
Mark 3:28-30
28 Truly I tell you, the sons of men will be forgiven all sins and blasphemies, as many as they utter. 29 But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of eternal sin.
30 Jesus made this statement because they were claiming, He has an unclean spirit.

There is such a thing as deadly sin, about which I do not say that you should pray. So; your contention is that if your brother is doing one of them deadly things, ONLY the priest can do the praying?

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
But what if our hand is CAUGTH in the cookie jar?
We just happen to be sinning at the instant of our DEATH and do not get a CHANCE to confess and repent?

..."getting" and "staying" saved are the SAME thing. Right? Well; the Book says something about ENDURING to the end
and
Ephesians 2:8-9 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, for it is the gift of God;
9 Not of works, that no man may glory.
Ephesians 2:8-9 New International Version (NIV)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithand this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
1 Corinthians 15:2 Douay-Rheims Bible
By which also you are saved, if you hold fast after what manner I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:2 NIV
By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
1 John 5:13 - These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

No sin can erase this mark, even if sin prevents Baptism from bearing the fruits of salvation.
Not even MORTAL ones?
Uh... just what ARE the 'fruits'??

If mortal sins are sacramentally confessed, with a firm resolution to sin no more, and absolution is given, there is still a chance of salvation.
