The word “SEX” appears to be visible in NASA’s latest composite image of the Earth. The Coincidence Theorist explains why this is perfectly normal… NASA released their latest image of Earth, supposedly taken from one million miles away by the Deep Space Climate Observatory satellite, on 20 July 2015. The image isn’t a normal photograph as you might expect but a composite generated by combining multiple pictures.
“For some reason, there aren’t any genuine pictures of the Deep Space Climate Observatory satellite,” admits The Coincidence Theorist. “However I did find this cartoon on NASA’s website and tried to annotate it as accurately as possible.”
According to NASA, the acclaimed picture was made using their Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC), a four megapixel CCD camera and telescope to generate a “photographic-quality image”.
Various mainstream sites were quick to praise NASA’s updated snapshot of the Earth, but all failed to mention what appears to be a rather unusual anomaly. If you flip the image upside-down, you can see what looks strikingly like the word “SEX” written across a significant portion of the globe (credit to YouTube user Joanne Steen for spotting it). Follow the simple instructions below to view the coincidental anomaly for yourself.
STEP ONE:
Download this (EPIC earth) image from NASA’s website.
STEP TWO:
Flip the image upside-down.
STEP THREE:
Look at the top right corner of the flipped image.
STEP FOUR:
Observe what looks suspiciously like the word “SEX” plastered over the Earth’s atmosphere.
STEP FIVE:
Reassure yourself that this is merely a coincidence and that NASA, a federal agency that receives around $18 billion of tax funding every year, would never deceive the public under any circumstance.
Since noticing the bizarre pattern, eagle-eyed NASA-sceptics have denounced the space agency’s latest image as a fraud.
However, what they don’t realise is that this is just another coincidence.
By September this year, EPIC will be producing daily images of Earth which will be uploaded to a dedicated website. In theory, this will give researchers the opportunity to study daily variations of the planet.
To celebrate this unbelievable scientific achievement, The Coincidence Theorist has created the following artist’s impression to give readers an idea of what to expect from future EPIC composites.
The Coincidence Theorist’s Conclusion:
“It’s physically impossible for any NASA pictures to be manipulated,” says The Coincidence Theorist.
“I imagine this is just a naturally-occurring cloud formation. Clearly-formed words spanning hundreds of miles must randomly materialise all the time. Coincidentally, I took this picture (seen below) on the very same day from my own back garden.”

My big question is where is Antarctica? Also why is there no background? Shouldn’t there be stars and an atmosphere around the Earth? The picture itself doesn’t even look real.
I wouldn’t have seen the word if it wasn’t filled in. They’re really reaching on this one.

If you squint and look at the image with the flashing red SEX, you can see the image of George Washington’s head just to the right of the bottom-right part of the red X.
I see a polar bear eating a snow cone.
I once saw a cloud that looked like a squirrel. Been wondering about that for 40 years now.

LOL. However this is an official painting or whatever they call the “Blue Marble” earth artwork. So is the second one from HuffPO.
Yes it’s like the people who don’t believe Pizzagate but know that child sex rings do exist. Why the word sex would be on two NASA Blue Marble paintings or artwork (these are not real) has me stumped... thanks for all the help.

What is more worrisome is that we earthlings who don’t work at NASA somehow believe these paintings of earth are real. Ever see an actual photo of earth besides the Blue Marbles? (No, you haven’t.)
