She opened her own church?

I HOPE it’s sincere, but it could also be she found another way to screw people for money.

You see it all the time with ‘reverend’ so-and-so in the ghettos. Like Al Sharpton?

You don't go to Fulton for the money.

TRUST ME ON THAT!!!!

Time of the Age of Grace is short now. Expect GOD to bring some very diverse nodes to bear on the conversion of souls. Is this woman genuine? I don’t know, and under ‘normal’ circumstances I would advise waiting at least five years, immersed in The Word and Life God has given before stepping into such a pressurized position of spiritual empowerment. BUT, as stated before, time is short. let’s see what GOD’s Spirit is doing here ...

This is one of the scary things about Protestantism: a porn star takes a few online classes and can go out and start a church. If that does not illustrate the irrationality of “sola scriptura”, then little else could.

It has nothing to do with sola scriptura.

I don't think you really understand it if you think it does.

FWIW, that seminary education never did much good for the priests the Catholic church has had to deal with.

Well, I’ll tell you, she’s going to be well suited to minister in that community.

She’s going to know how to reach those people.

**Paul was also very clear that women are to remain silent in church. pretty hard to be a silent pastor, unless you’re in a deaf church and preaching with ASL.**

There are some here who will insist on KJSL.

Funny. And true.

I once told a preacher friend of mine, in some level of seriousness that the reason he and some other preachers insist on King James is to add ten minutes to the sermon explaining what the words mean, when my Bible says the exact words.

He wasn’t too thrilled with me.

It would be really tough in KJSL

Nice to see that she changed her life for the better. Kind of surprised about the “no regrets” statement, however. Makes little sense to me. Part of repentance, as I understand it, includes regret for past mistakes...

When I was a kid my family used to love going to the Fulton Steam Convention every year. All those old steam-powered engines were fascinating. Do you know if they still have it?

I found that to be an odd statement.

She does say God used that to get her where she is today. But that is rather shoddy theology.

Re; Jane Fonda
It’s not unusual for people to “get Saved” and then create a god in their own image. It’s like getting rescued by God from slavery and then making a golden calf to worship.

Without solid Biblical teaching and study, people tend to wander.

My recollection with Fonda is that her god was amazingly like her.

God made in in His own image.

And we have been returning the favor ever since!

Because FB is cheap and managing a real website costs money and takes usually someone with skill you have to pay to maintain.

"Without solid Biblical teaching and study, people tend to wander."

Well said, brother:
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Hebrews 4:12

If we believe in God, we must believe that the Bible is the Word of God and that it is accurate.

The bible was written by man, not God..........

There are religions all over the world that believe in a God so what makes the bible so special that it takes precedence over all the others?

Do you believe in The God Almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth? Do you believe in more than One God?

OK, I should rephrase my earlier comment.

If YOU believe in God, YOU must believe that the Bible is the Word of God and that it is accurate. (all caps just indicate changes. I’m not yelling)

The God of the Bible is the one true God. All other religions are man made, If you want proofs of that, I’d recommend that you pick up a copy of a book entitled Evidence that Demands a Verdict. Your library may even have it. The author is Josh McDowell. He began to research Christianity as a skeptic and realized that he could not prove his hypothesis. It’s a good read and very well done research.
