This New York mom has gone from porn star to the pulpit. Crystal Bassette, 33, ditched her lucrative career in the porn industry and her lavish Los Angeles lifestyle to become a church pastor in the small town of Fulton, New York.
“It is definitely the ultimate change. It’s going from one extreme to the next. I had to get away from this whole life,” Bassette told Barcoft Media, referring to her 10-year stint doing porn.
She said, “The day I was saved, I felt like the preacher was just speaking to me directly. It was like he was preaching to only me and you know that day I felt God was talking to me through his preaching and everything he said felt right.”
When Bassette left the porn industry she went to college to become a paralegal and trained as a pastor.
Soon after marrying David, the two founded their own church together called New Beginnings Christian Life where they hope to inspire others.

Now for my rant: Why do people, businesses, and in this case, a church, use Facebook as a webpage instead of a real website that is visible to everyone and anyone with internet access? I refuse to signup for Facebook or use any other social media (other than my business website) because (a) my life is not that important to share with the world; (b) I refuse to compromise my privacy and security; and (c) I refuse to subsidize libtards like Mark Zuckerberg.
Morally speaking, there is no difference between one who would profit financially from the gospel of Jesus Christ, and a pornstar. Both are hirelings.......

Praise God from whom all blessings flow’ is one of my favorite songs to sing or listen to while at Church.
This is an old traditional song that is usually sung in a lower key, easy for a man to sing with.
Many parishes of today don’t use the old songs, choosing instead, more folk music type songs that start out at a high pitch.
“Immaculate Mary” is another favorite. This and other songs for Mary were sung to observe the Day of Ascension on or near May 5th.
My Catholic Grade School would line up outside for a procession with the Pastor each May.
$300,000 per year gets you a house in Malibu and 7 cars including a Ferrari? Something doesn’t quite add up.

I agree. at this point she needs to find herself maybe in five years it would be great but at this point she needs a lot of self examination because a pastures job is spiritual guidance and at this point she needs to slow down and work on herself a few years before being someone that people go to when they are having a spiritual crises. and actually eventually she could be a great resource but not immediately.

I was going to pontificate on how someone in the ministry needs to be seasoned and tested before taking a position behind the pulpit.
I’m just going to shake my head and walk away, hope nobody gets hurt.
This is one of the scary things about Protestantism: a porn star takes a few online classes and can go out and start a church.
If that does not illustrate the irrationality of “sola scriptura”, then little else could.
Now she has tons of cash made by doing something really sleazy. If she GAVE AWAY ALL of her ill begotten gains to charity I may consider her a real religious leader. Maybe. Until then to me she is a sick joke.

I’m guessing porn stars aren’t exactly frugal with their money. My guess is she blew through all of her earnings.
