The Bible informs the wise that the Shroud Of Turin is a Fake. There is no room for debate. The matter is settled. End Of Story
Bears Watching...
Agreed..
Probably to much “Grape Juice!”
This nut job needs Someone to
TAKE
HIS
KEYS!
You believe people mistake the shroud for God?
Believe it, or don’t. You have to take it on faith.
If you accept that it is the genuine article, then it is exactly that to you.
If you disbelieve, then that is your prerogative in a free society.
However, your prerogative does not include casting aspersions on the former.
As an agnostic on the subject of the veracity of the Shroud of Turin, I don’t feel compelled to investigate it and accept that it exists.
The more one has paid for a forgery, the more one defends it in the face of all the evidence to the contrary. That goes both ways with respect to the Shroud.
There are those who have studied it and say it’s the genuine article, and others who have studied it and call if a fake.
B-B-B-But we have the shroud...The bible has to be wrong...
Absolutely..
The Lies of satan to Eve in the garden...
Did God truly say...
That is how it started.
That I might be able to watch it End!
Do they think the pampered European whose image is on the Shroud is Jesus?
John 12:45
And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
ROTFL
The Shroud of Turin is only *proof* for those who already believe.
Believe is a choice, an act of will.
It’s not that people can’t believe but that they won’t.
Even if someone rose from the dead, those who are not going to believe won’t anyway. If they won’t believe when the dead are raised, they are not going to believe a shroud that’s been disputed.
If the article (the Shroud) clearly contradicts scripture your advice is rendered useless but I really do appreciate your very kind and mature effort to bring peace. We must put the Bible first...before the feelings, wishes and opinions of people.
It’s one of those items that in the grand scheme of things doesn’t carry much weight.
IIRC, even according to scripture, it cannot be incanted to do anything. It’s just a hunk of cloth.
The name isn’t all that’s bogus. You’re very quick to cast aspersions on people you don’t know in the slightest. “Heart” trouble?
Thanks for your reply.
>>>”Do they think the pampered European whose image is on the Shroud is Jesus?”
I don’t believe anyone mistakes the shroud for Jesus. Do you? My question was: Do you think people mistake the shroud for God?
That seems to be your main contention and objection.
Your answer seems to be: yes, people mistake the shroud for God. Would that be a correct conclusion from your reply?
You know, like Global Warming. The science is settled! We won’t take any more questions! Everybody shut up!
Interesting article.

This seems the best explanation - a type of photography.
The Shroud is a work of art, in my opinion, probably not meant as a hoax but as veneration.
It was probably meant more as an artistic icon and became a relic.
Also
John 20:6-7New International Version (NIV)
6 Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7 as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.
You are ignorant.
Yeshua is “God.”
.
>> “does not reflect well on Christianity.” <<
“Christianity” was invented by the Romans, 300 years after Yeshua was resurrected.
It is a poor reflection of the true worship practiced by Yeshua and his disciples and apostles, in fact it turns the true worship on its head.
