Open letter to Pope Francis re Muhammad

Dear Pope Francis,

There is much confusion in the world today about the holiness of Muhammad. The Church must either release its finding that support the use of the term "Holy Quran" or initiate a new inquiry that can support the this classification.

Too many people question the holiness of the Quran for the church to remain silent. A strong voice from the Church has the potential to unite the world. Just imagine Christians and Muslims living in harmony.

The culmination of this effort should lead to the beatification of Muhammad. After all, shouldn't God's holy messenger be present among the Saints of the Church that we recognize are surely in heaven?

I look forward to a transparent revelation of the Church's true findings on the holiness of Muhammad and the Quran.

Faithfully yours,

Triple

Then why all of this “holy Quran” talk from the pope, cardinals and bishops?

As real as I can write.

Holy Quran => saint Muhammad

Think of the peace it will bring to the world...

Why not Saint Muhammad?

Going along to get along is no way to live. Never mind standing up for the Gospel delivered once for all time.

They may have forgotten that.

If the Church can’t stand for the truth, what does it stand for?

I’m wondering if my post was unclear because the writing was clunky?

Better version: “Just as going along to get along is a poor way to stand up for the a Gospel delivered once for all time.”

Stupid auto correct!

It adds in “a” in front of some words without being hidden to!

This isn’t the first time, and sadly not the first I’ve missed it.

All clear... thanks!

I just want full clarity, consistency, and transparency from the Church re Muhammad and the holy Quran.

What is the official position that supports calling it the holy Quran? And if it is divinely inspired, why not Saint Muhammad?

Position?

Considering statements in the Scriptures about different Gospels as well as 1400 years of Islamic history ...

It might involve a penetrating convergence of head with the posterior.

I wouldn't be surprised if Francis would be willing to do this. He is well on the way to proclaiming Martin Luther a saint. He already canonized a man (JPII) who kissed the "Holy Koran" and asked a true Catholic Saint to protect Muhammed's false religion.

Fortunately, what a false pope does in the name of the Catholic Church is illegitimate and invalid.

Canonized Catholic saints must be ...well... Catholic.

Was John the Baptist Catholic? What about St. Mary?

“I hear they invented the zero.”

I think that was Hindus, but the Arabs did give us the other numbers. But I don’t know if they were Muslims at that time. Mohammed is late, c. 700 isn’t he?

Yeah, I don’t know if they were Muslim yet either. They gave us the Arabic numbering system (the Roman one sucked), arithmetic, the names of most stars, and they popularized coffee. They didn’t invent it but it was it wouldn’t be what it is today without them.

It didn’t become a university until later. Before that, it was a place where they taught islam. My guess is that there were Jews and Christians doing this long before any muslims would have — especially since it didn’t come along until about 622 AD.

I read that in the 12th century, they burned over 100,000 texts at Al-Azhar University. Muslims also burned thousands and thousands of texts in other places they invaded such as in India.

Hindus invented ‘Arabic numerals’.

Most Islamic knowledge and innovation came from cultures Muslims tried to exterminate.

Well, if you steal someone’s invention and then murder them, that’s the same as inventing it, right?

They were both among the first to believe in and follow Christ and are therefore among the early Christians.

Not sure how anyone could possibly compare them with Muhammed.

Are you Catholic?

Let’s not make this personal.

Agreed, St. John and Mary were early Christians.

Now back to the topic...Was the Quran divinely inspired? And if so, why not st. Muhammad?
