Dear LORD, first and foremost, please direct our leaders to the CROSS. May the flesh be crucified, any desire for self-glory be frustrated, and may all our leaders align themselves to the SPIRIT and to the TRUTH. Dear LORD, help all who are in conflict with each other, whether Republican or Democrat, to let go of egos that create divisions and may they all try to point in the same direction, towards GOD, rather than wandering off in their own personalities. May their decisions always be facing toward GOD, not one degree to the left or right, but in perfect harmony. Thus, resulting in our country becoming great again through that which only the SPIRIT can bring: Hope, Joy, Peace, Faith, and Unity. And above all, LOVE. May Salvation be opened to all that do not believe, and all who are in question. May our Nation and our Leaders once again UNITE under the BANNER of YOUR GREAT LOVE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. And may GOD BLESS AMERICA. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that Your will be done on Capital Hill. Lord, confound those who make a mockery out of a just and peaceful life for all citizens here in the USA. Lord I would ask that Your Spirit give each member of Congress no rest till they each bow their knee to You, Lord of lords and King of kings. Many have gone their own way and have violated their oaths of office and violated the trust that was awarded them when elected to their positions of leadership. Many are leading themselves, their families and our country into judgment. Father, show them clearly this day the error of their ways.
Let the men and women of Congress and the Judiciary put aside “case law” and turn to Your mandates and ways, which give true liberty for the people. May the self indulgent noodleback leadership that has become the predominant way of life for these elected and appointed folks die a quick death.
Lord, let our country awaken from it’s deep slumber of rebellion. May the citizens of the USA demand servant-hood in all areas of our government. May we see righteous rule in the life of Jesus Christ and follow Him. In the only name man can be saved, Jesus I pray.

4Godsoloved -— you say what I pray for nightly, in a more meaningful way. I usually ask the Good Lord to remind those in power that this is a country “—of, by, and for the people”, and not a country for them to use for their own selfish needs and wants.
I’m sure the Good Lord hears me too, but I wish I had a better gift of expression. It is one of the reason I like reading the different prayers here.

Joining in prayer for Jeff Sessions at his confirmation hearing going on as I write.
We ask your blessing on these confirmation proceedings, and humbly ask for Your help so that patriots under the leadership of Trump and Pence can turn this nation back to our Western civilizational roots, the Ten Commandments, and the rule of law in our society, although we are indeed miserable sinners.
The attacks on Senator Sessions by the spiteful promoters of immorality and social disorder hiding behind the scenes, and by those in positions of power at this hearing, are grievous to witness. They are attacks on You; but You have already conquered this world, hallelujah!
We who pray for our nation ask for Your providence and mercy, although we do not deserve either by our actions, but only by Your grace. We pray as intercessors for those lost individuals who trample the hearts of the faithful with their condemnations of our new administration and appointees. Forgive them, Lord, and restore their hearts and minds.
We pray for a renewed governmental ethos, so that the children of the faithful in America may once again be surrounded by a culture of decency and respect and may be educated in Your Word, as our Founders intended.
We earnestly pray that the administration of civil law by the incoming Department of Justice, through the power of Your Spirit, will be brought into harmony with Your divine law and Your purposes for our nation.

Almighty God, let the confirmations for leaders continue on so that good may be done for the people of this country and the world extended. Father, don’t let the lawless ones hinder the good plans for this nation. Oh God, You hold all power in heaven and earth, and only You can fight and win this battle.
