My wife was not feeling at all well this morning as she accompanied me at a podiatrist's appointment at the V.A. When we got home her condition worsened. She could barely see, had a pounding headache and was very dizzy. So we drove to the emergency room of a close-by hospital, where they did numerous tests. She is in the midst of an ongoing stroke.
Please pray for her.

Just seeing this now! My prayers are with your wife and her getting well again. Strokes run in my family and I hope you have your own support group.
A month ago, after complaining to Dr about severe headaches, she sent me for a scan. Turns out I had 2 “Silent Strokes” Scared me, but I try and block it out or it will over run my life and I cannot let that happen. Day by day!
God is Good! Your wife will hopefully recover while she watches her BP and Heart and Sugar.
Good news!
It’s good to hear that she’s home. You take care of her now.
Thanks for the update, we will keep praying.
Glad to hear that Barbara is back home. That’s the best place for her to be. I will continue to pray for her good health, and for yours as well.
Sounds very positive. One easy to eat (drink) food high in potassium to help keep BP down is coconut water. Hope she likes it.
For the even blood sugars, you want resistant starch with every meal. Easy sources: cooked and cooled rice (can be warmed up once cooled), cooked and cooled white potatoes (potato salad, or even cooked potatoes, cooled and reheated), and if you don’t have time for any of that, you can put a tablespoon of unrefined potato starch (often in baking aisles, for sure in health food stores) into her cool drink, even water. Tasteless. When adding resistant starch to a meal, blood sugar rises less and stays lower longer. Medicine is behind the curve on science here.
Prayers up.
Ah, great news! Thanks so much for the update!
I looked up your forum posts just this morning to see if you had an update. Glad she is home. May Jesus and all His angels surround you. God bless!
Awe, thank you very much 2D. I couldn’t be more relieved for you, and proud for Barbara’s strength to repair and to get herself back home so quickly.
God speed, Barbara!
Glad that we are hearing of apparently no lasting effects to trouble her. Miraculous!
Really appreciate the update! Thanks.
Blessings and prayers to you both.
Good. Will keep up the prayers from here.
Thanks for the great news,FRiend!
I’m very happy that Barbara is back at home and on the mend.
Just prayed for you two, and also to thank the Lord for His help.
God bless you both.
In His name we give thanks!
Thanks for the update. Continued prayers for the Mrs.
Good to hear, it took a while for the doctors to get the medications straight to keep my wife’s blood pressure in line. Hope your wife continues to improve.
Wonderful news!!
That is wonderful news! Blessings to both of you. Lots of love your way.
